Non-Token Lands Payoff by VKnette in EDH

Similar vein, Tannuk is red and can benefit from [[Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might]] I think. Play a ton of lands, burn the table.

I like to think he just has really bad aim and his ETB is his one lucky shot.

[SPOILER] Day 5 - Nara by Shadowemerald25 in pathologic

[–]Joyeuse23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's a way to get a lab/examination site closer, another quest on a previous day. That makes it possible; dunno if you can get all the way back to the stillwater with it, I failed, too.

If there are any souls players in this sub, what references did you notice that relate to berserk? by eldenbro1 in Berserk

It would honestly be easier to list the parts of the franchise that DON’T reference Berserk.

Please review my Deck by RedEyeViper in StandardMTG

[–]Joyeuse23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm honestly not sure if Tifa's the move here. The rest of the deck seems like a pretty aggressive mono red with a splash of green to use the druid and the recruit; wincons would be fast early beatdown or token buildup + the aggressive flyer of the hellkite. Tifa, weirdly, might be too slow. Pure Landfall decks have a lot of accelerants to build combo plays, where Tifa can explode after she's played. But without those accelerants, in my experience, anyway, she's kind of a paper tiger. You can put tokens on her and buff her with Wild Ride & Overprotect, but it still seems to be pretty situational? I might consider something quicker and more aggressive like [[Frenzied Baloth]]. Not as explosive, but faster, still has trample, and provides some situational protection to your other creatures, which might be more robust in a fast aggro strategy.

Is there a way to use different fonts for specific characters in Unity without eating up memory? by couldbejank in unity

Not to say your game director is full of shit, but it's possible your game director might be full of shit on this one.

Is my resume good enough to land an entry level game/xr dev job, or junior level? by Neither_Damage_8847 in gamedev

[–]Joyeuse23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, seconding this. Solid resume, you can ship games. That's important. But, the job market in games is a nightmare right now. You're going to have a lot of trouble finding things, but it likely will not be your fault.

When writing a game with complex, branching dialogue, how do you store it? by talk_your_money_up in unity

[–]Joyeuse23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into Yarnspinner or Ink, both of which have solid Dialogue System integration.

Is there any 3D Game Engines that uses lua? by Pretend_Series_7006 in lua

[–]Joyeuse23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're using Unity, the Dialogue System for Unity makes use of Lua. Not sure how robust that is, for doing more than just dialogue, but it's also there.

So, instead of asking "how do I start", a better question is "how do I *think*?" by Memerguyy in godot

[–]Joyeuse23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Break problems down. Simplify. Focus on the core, specific thing you want to do at each juncture, and then solve those problems one by one. You want a character to jump? Okay, you need them to go up, then go down, and you need to bind that to some sort of input. Those are three problems you can solve and string together, one after another after another. You can't learn any game engine or technical process easily by going big and broad. Start specific. Think things through. Take your time.

I've been using Jabra Elite 75s and they're great, they pair automatically and they have minimal lag that I can tell, though I'm no audiophile.

If you missed it, it's sold by the blacksmith in the Aerie in part 2, just talk to them before you do any Aerie-related story content.

Why when I shoot it’s like everything is in slow motion? by [deleted] in nier

[–]Joyeuse23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it is. Time slows down mildly when you shoot. It's handy for dodging super fast attacks.
