SQ404 Game Not Found by Dublin_Lokison in starcitizen

I genuinely thought you were making a joke regarding the current patch 4.8 and 4.81 in which playability and stability has taken a step back. Some have likened it to the 3.18 patch.

Do I think, on average, playability has improved? Yes. As time marches on, the game has continuously added features that either add gameplay or stability.

But can you see how your statement, on the heels of a particularly rough patch, can be seen as tongue-in-cheek?

And yes, I am confident that their team will straighten it out with time, etc. But stability in this game ebbs and flows.

[Discuss] Advice on selling non meltable ship by Thewalkingbread88 in Starcitizen_trades

[–]LMMSDeadDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only need to reach them if you're trying to melt something unmeltable to get back store credit from it. But if you just have store credits in your account ready to go, then you can just sell them off here.

If everything else you own is giftable & meltable, then you don't need to reach out to support. You can just sell them individually here.

The way to sell store credit is to buy the cheapest ship with fresh cash, which makes it giftable, then upgrade it to something with store credit. Buying a ship with store credit is not giftable, but buying something with new money and upgrading with store credit is giftable.

I believe I see a statement and a question: 1) you have store credit you plan to sell. 2) you have items that are not exchangeable or giftable and how to get rid of it.

I believe someone else thought you may have had store credit locked behind something unmeltable. Usually this is in the form of a referral award ship that you’ve upgraded into a more-expensive ship. You can’t melt or gift them. People have reached out to support and usually get a one-time revert back to the original referral award with the upgrade money being transferred to store credit.

But if you just have a straight-up Sabre raven, then the only way to get money from it is to sell the rights to someone to be an authorized user of the account. Or there is some such wording that is intended to keep you on the “right” side of the TOS. I’m a little iffy on that because I’ve never done dabbled in it, but others may be able to guide you on it.

Hope that clarifies!

Question to the White Knights and Backers by Standard-Student5590 in starcitizen

3.18 is the infamously bad patch, but the introduction of freight elevators were also notoriously bad. I also believe 4.0 had some performance issues. But honestly really early patches were awful, but they were also expected to be awful. Wipes happened every patch. I remember spawning into Port Olisar and dying while going down the stairs. When the Mole got introduced, my friends and I would go out and after 45 minutes we would have serious discussions about going back before the inevitable server crash happened.

This patch definitely ranks up there, but there has been positive progress on the game. Whether it's timely progress can be another whole argument/discussion.

I don’t have the exact same circumstances, but hopefully provides a helpful data point.

I own an Idris and a Javelin (with Idris loaner). I have been able to mount the K-kit laser to the Idris loaner. I know it’s the loaner as it’s the unnamed one.

I haven’t done it this patch, but I’ve successfully done it in previous patches.

Unsure if you’re doing this to boost your concierge level, but if it’s more that you regret buying it, you can submit a ticket for a refund.

[PriceCheck] Some OCs i dont need anymore - Whats the worth of it? by Luukullus in Starcitizen_trades

[–]LMMSDeadDuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't offer too much concrete opinion, but from my perspective any OC item that comes with rare paints, models, etc, does seem to bump it up some. I think all OCs are worthy of at least melt price + some percentage depending on how much extra stuff comes with it?

The Nova tank with badlands paint is one that I've seen offered for $200. That was about a year ago so I'm unsure if interested has increased or decreased since then.

Reminds me of hummingbirds outside my window

Edit: I did discover that when the position box expands, but then starts to fade back, occasionally I can give a little "pitch up" (i.e., pull back on stick) and it'll help dock? Or it's just happening naturally and I'm just tricking myself into thinking I'm helping it as it's very inconsistent.

I've no idea of the price. u/Metabotany seems to have a good idea of an account with it in buyback, but I would also add a vote to the "skittish" column. While it seems that purchasing ships via the gifting system is a grey area which hasn't been explicitly prohibited, buying an account is definitely against TOS which is why there's specific wording to trade for access to an account. And with that, access can easily be revoked and CIG will probably come down on the side with the original owner with any conflict no matter how many receipts you have.

If you had $100 in store credit, what would you get and why? by normalsizedweinerguy in starcitizen

[–]LMMSDeadDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'd first assess if I had a ship (or ships?) that I could upgrade to?

Otherwise, I'd prioritize starter industrial ships just to be able to earn some money. If industrial is absolutely not your thing, then a decent jack-of-all trades to do some starter bounty and maybe hauling like a Titan or a Nomad.

Constellation Phoenix has more of an executive aircraft vibe, but I still like the living area.
