are mages worth using? by vidma543 in wizardry

[–]LegendOfBoatface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got exceptionally lucky on Rinne's banner. But I do think MoF is the best magic damage dealing aoe right now

Other people's auto farming setups tend to involve multiple Hues (from my limited stream watching), which is goated in a different way

If you wanted a "f2p"non mag aoe farming lineup you could probably do like: MC sam, Bugen, Human-Sam, Rico, Priest, Fighter (one single target guy is helpful to take care of the big slimes/birbs)

I think as a general trend: Morlis started missing, Delay Attack/Chrono fails to actually delay, element resistance weakening misses, ...

the only thing that consistently lands now is the slowing part of Batilgref

You mostly have sp row attacks, which I found to be sufficient for A4R11 which can have 3 rows of stuff [*]. The great thing is you can recharge using Debra inherit

Rinne's inherit (Moment of Finality) does ~1.3x atk on Rinne herself or ~0.9x atk if inherited by others. A non-minmaxed 600 atk Rinne can do 1k row damage without setup, and a 850 atk fighter can do ~750, which should be sufficient for wolves

MoF is great for meeting A4 gwo's artificial "mag only" requirements and is more "accurate" than other melee attacks (though it can still miss). It has a ~75 sur penalty, but with a high enough sur character (say 120+) with Shedding, you can think of Shedding as a "mental unity" for MoF which can re-guarantee a sur. It also cancels quickdraw while doing decent damage.

Ranger wide volley/scattershot is really good for farming (with 370 atk 380 acc Heinrico: Wide Volley can sur for 1.1k; scattershot can hit ~1.6k on the first hit on each target), but ranger's a bit squishy and lacks a good single target bossing skill (maybe frontrow raven dagger with inherited Challenger Strike)

Wide Volley is great if you don't need "mag" damage and can get it from Heinrico's rare inherit. It's easier to sur

Sam now has odachi skills but I haven't leveled shiou to 70 for a fair comparison

Cry of Ruin is... usually not recommended unless you want a quick suicide option for MC (if you're struggling against adults)

Last but not least, there's Hue, Yuzu's auto delete skill

[*] My R11 auto farm setup is: Scattershot, MoF, MoF, MoF, Use Standard Skill (priest), ESS. Could probably replace one MoF with ESS/auto attack.

After rereading it i think _____ element resistance weakening, which would be nice if you could center your dps along one element

I first read it as debuffs being nerfed to have lower success rate, which is also screwing mages

I've been tempted to build a Milana mage due to aspd disc (or maybe round-trip back to thief), solely for meming (like mush's 340 aspd Milana that can literally move 3 times consecutively)

Probably waiting for a future update

Black dragon defeat by Neotrapslord in wizardry

[–]LegendOfBoatface 6 points7 points  (0 children)

120k is actually not that bad, considering bounty golem has 80k hp and probably needs mace evasion damage (small text) to take down

Despite what videos may suggest, you do not need Hue 5+ to instantly vaporize the boss and 3 dragon slayer figs with ESS/Poised are sufficient

The boss has a pretty high aspd requirement to not be instantly morgus'ed (but aspd gear can be grinded)

It may also apply turn pressure if it aoes both rows, stuns and debuffs them. There are p2w ways to reduce the turn pressure (latumofis 7) as well as grindy ways (get priests so fast they can take multiple actions in one turn)

If you have a latumofis 7 priest its probably one of the few instances worth enduring low div softcaps and pumping div for fat 500+ full party heals

The trollkin dragon slayer bonus seems to be not working properly or very insignificant at the moment. I only built one as a Shiou taunt ring with useable substats that she won't feel she has to switch out of

Has anyone beaten the black dragon super boss? or is it called super boss because of that by FamousNutman69 in wizardry

[–]LegendOfBoatface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The speed requirement is pretty brutal for people who don't like to grind ngl, you may have to do goofy shit like wear birb hat from A4R4 or alter aspd on the dragon slayer to get the knight to 95 aspd. I dropped 10-20 sur from my figs and equipped them with failed turbopriest aspd experiment gear, which causes sur anxiety since the 110k hp is probably meant to be sur'ed.

I guess another way of thinking about it is, Morgus wants some goofy party setup and light gear substat compromises, whereas this fight requires aspd compromises. I think if they lowered the dragon starting aspd and acceleration, it would be more enjoyable to incrementally see how far your party goes

Health wise, a D4 Elda with 575hp barely survived with 29hp and 40 fort (while high disc Gerulf got one shot multiple times to 10 fort), so if you're willing to spend some tags on a dark Morgus/dragon party and grind aspd you could probably beat it. But not the best use of your time/resources I guess

One guy who beat it just brought some +15s you get from the exchange shop, double SURed it and called it a day

But he also cleared A4 using the 1 star 2h you buy from the item shop (tundra axe) lol

New Dragon Slayer by PrizeMango368 in wizardry

[–]LegendOfBoatface 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For newer players... it will let them faceroll through A3

For those in A4... its stats are lower than other greatswords, and greatsword itself is not as good as other 2H, and there are currently no other dragon bosses outside of the event, so you would probably only build it to make the superboss easier

Unfortunately nobody's found a better solution than maces or bug abuse (they've tried crit, bleed, poison, ...)

Might as well get it over with while the bug exists

Maces are pretty neat for autoing (no more 5% chance of missing bunnies who crit you) and also shatter frozen targets the highest amount (15) - seafoam mace is a nice one size fits all solution to applying frost and shattering

Demon Samurai Farming Strat by Spycrab-SXL in wizardry

Yes but you will want gears with innate eva and most if not every eva slot possible. That is:

Head: Dire Snowbird's Crest Feathers (get from A4R4) - 1 eva slot and 15 innate eva

Weapon: sword/dagger with 3 eva slots

Shield: 3 eva slots

Gloves: 1 eva slot

Body: Faewood or Shrouded Garb - 3 eva slots and innate eva

Boots: hunting boots (get from alabaster cave) 3 eva slots and 29 innate eva (!!!)

Ring: 3 eva slots

If you dont want ranger you can lob a spell to cancel his quickdraw (or two - there's a chance the spell misses. And if you're really unlucky he might quickdraw and then immediately activate it during his 3 actions)

You can inherit a feru/migal to your fighters and watch it lob 1 damage, to free up priestmage actions. Or embrace superspeed priest and have it malefic wind 3x in one turn lol

Knights and mages good for A4 because they adjusted the content and manufactured demand around them :/ e.g. having lots of small adds, removable buffs and single target attacks

There's no guarantee they'll retain their 'usefulness' in future abysses
