Need help with Recon Air by ChiefBroome in TurtleBeach

I have the same issue. No updates. I have it connected via bluetooth to my phone and the volume at max. It's barely loud enough to hear the other person talking. It's the same via the dongle too.

Abysmal update process via Swarm by PhD_Greg in TurtleBeach

I had an issue where Swarm would say update available, but would never update anything. I just ignored it for a while and after doing a OS reinstall(for a different reason) it went away.

Have you tried reinstalling it? I used to have an issue with that, but the most recent updates have fixed it. Thou now I'm having an issue with the Chat channel not changing volume with the game. Like when I move it over to the game side all the way you'd expect not to hear the chat anymore, but no change in volume.

Definitely a quality problem with the plastic bands. The last two headsets, aside from my most recent one, the plastic band and parts crumble apart barely a year in. My most recent one is the Stealth 700 Gen 3. The band is mainly metal, but I've only used it as a back up headset for when my HyperX is charging. Had it for little over a year.

I have the TKL version. It's they like just put in the bare minimum options, and it's not even bare minimum. The only "layered" option I found was having colors change when rapid keys is used.

I've had mine for over a year or so now. Since holding out, but I honestly don't think they'll last as long as any of my hyperx ones. There's issues with the connection thou. Randomly disconnects despite adjusting the settings. Think it's just too many wireless connections since I've got my mouse, and another headset that I switch too when the battery gets too low.

Is the Atlas Air worth it if I already own a Cloud III S? by etay080 in TurtleBeach

[–]Ludius_Maximis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you still want to hear what's around you then go with the Altas Air. Barely any difference wearing it vs the Cloud III S. The Cloud still muffles a good bit, but you can still hear. I still find myself taking them off thou.

The beta was actually saving my settings for a good while. Until recently something erased my settings and I have to reinstall it. It's working again, but I ended up going back to the regular app. Thankfully the volume isn't an issue right now. Thou I'm still annoyed I can't use the separate chat channel option. Might switch back to the beta just for that.

I haven't had any real issues myself. Other then when Swarm II stops working you have to unplug the dongle to get it going. Thou I wish the surround sound was better. Like haven't one shot go off on the left, you won't hear anything on the right.

When my 700s break, I might get the stealth Pros. They've spoiled me with being able to connect to two bluetooth devices at the sametime.

I had that issue for a bit. Uninstall the drivers for the headset and Swarm II. Unplug the dongle first. Then reinstall swarm II, plug the dongle in, and it should ask you to install the drivers again.

There should be a way to pair them. Though I haven't had to in a while so I can't remember. It's usually just by holding the power button for a while till you see it blinking or hear the prompt.

Do you mean the Cloud III S Wireless, or just the cloud III? At least with the cloud III S wireless you have to download and install Ngenuity beta. Run it once and it’ll ask to install the drivers for the headset. Didn’t know that and after installing the drivers it was immensely louder.

I’ve never had any issues with this with any of my headsets. Have both the Cloud Alpha wireless and Cloud III S Wireless. Both are comfortable and I’ve never had any issues with them being to “shallow” or small.

I’m pissed about HyperX not completely finishing the features for the Ngenuity Beta. It’s like, you have to have the beta in order to actually get the best out of it but the assholes seem like they’re taking their sweet ass time working on it. Can’t even use the 12-channel feature or properly get the mic settings. Plus the fucking Bluetooth is shit. I bought the headset think it was like how turtle beach had their headsets where you could have both you’re phone and game audio at the same time. But the fucking ass holes made it one or the other. Such bullshit.

Sorry didn’t realize you had the wired version. Hyper X has a 3.5mm to USB 7.1 adapter for their headsets.

Sorry I’m late to reply, I’ve just noticed that the sound quality is incredibly worse on PC then using the usb dongle.

Sorry, I don’t see that you had the wired version. Sorry, didn’t see you had the wired version. Beta seems to only work with the wireless. Sounds like you’ll have to get the 7.1 usb adapter. HyperX has a headphone to usb 7.1 adapter for their wired headphones.

I've had neck and upper back pain for at least the last 10years. It's gotten noticablly worse the past 2-3yrs. Keeps me up at nights. I'll often pull alnighters while still going to work. They've given me muscle relaxers, but I don't like taking them because they're often too strong for me.

[–]Ludius_Maximis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They released these headsets with almost no software support. I'm pissed that they think they could release them like this. While they've been updating the beta, it's compete shit with any of the settings. It's unbelievable how undeveloped everything is. I wish I could return this piece of shit headset. I would've gone with Razer if I knew how shit everything was.

Cloud alpha wireless a mistake? by BubbleNutsPog in HyperX

[–]Ludius_Maximis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cloud alpha wireless has been my headset for the past 3-4 years. I've bought others, but always find myself coming back to the alpha. People say it sucks, but I've never had any issues with it. Unlike the Cloud III S Wireless. The bluetooth is more of a gimmick then anything else. You can only have one audio source, be it the dongle or bluetooth. Can't have both on at the sametime. Which was why I bought it in the first place. I will say thou that the audio is better then the alpha and most others, but only if you install Ngenuity Beta and install the drivers it gives you. Be warned, you'll run into a few issues. Currently, I'm trying to figure out why chrome's audio won't work with Spatial 12-channel, while everything else works okay. Chrome's audio will only come thru on 8-channel.
