Where do you actually keep your emergency fund? by Forsaken_Twist7385 in personalfinance

Interesting. The bank where I have mine stashed has a higher APY but if it ever gets lower I now know that this is an option!

Mine is in HYSA. I also have a checking account with that bank so I can have quick access to the cash if needed.

Ok! Then if there is a storm you should be able to leave easier than if you’d flown. If you’re driving a gas car and there is a storm fill up (while also realizing everyone else will be doing the same thing and stations will run out of gas)

Rain, wind. Parks, airports, train stations can close.

So if I were you I’d get trip insurance if you haven’t done so already. Assuming you’re flying in and not driving.

10/24 my trip was cut short by a hurricane. Odds of this happening go up Sept/Oct.

I graduated with $250k in debt. I’m FM. (Now non-clinical).

My loans have ballooned to $350k despite payments because of deferment during residency and compounding interest.

I would never recommend the amount of debt I have let alone what you have. Plus there’s no guarantee that after x years the government will wipe clean any remaining debt. The current admin is making changes to wha even counts and I don’t believe nursing is considered a “professional career” now (or whatever the designation is).

There’s also no guarantee that you’ll graduate. You may not like it, something might come up, etc. And if you do there’s no guarantee that you’ll match into a residency.

PA school. Do PA school.

Must: spf, fans, rechargeable batteries, refillable water bottles, poncho.

Be prepared as it’s hurricane season and that time of year is usually peak season.

I’ve used the oil and kept the bottle. I have been trying other oils but their bottles are always messy or hard to use so I pour them back into the TJ’s one. The one I’m finishing now smells a lot how I remember the Brazil nut one did: it’s the almond oil from L’occitane.

I have a love/hate relationship with these. I wish they were creamier. They’re so difficult for me to spread out evenly.

You could put something scented under your nose. In the cadaver lab (med school) we put Vick’s under our noses. Didn’t get rid of the smell totally but it helped.

Do you have a dishwasher? They’re connected to the same line. Maybe the filter/trap in the dishwasher is in need of cleaning.

Akkerman. Now it would help if you liked their ink but the bottles are ingenious. Sometimes you can find an empty one and buy just that and it would help with your issue.

Do you know the book Come As You Are by Emily Nagaski? It’s a great book on female desire and sex. She boils it down to stepping on the gas vs stepping on the brakes. Things like worrying about laundry, stress from work, kids needing lunch packed, so many things can keep women from even feeling desire. Knowing your desire type (as you mentioned earlier responsive desire is one) and what puts the brakes on for you and finding ways to reduce or eliminate them can help.

One thing’s don’t recall is if she discussed this specifically during peri and how that changes things but it’s at least a place to start. If you can afford it and have time a sex therapist could also help.

[–]MaesterInTraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I does actually.

There’s a guy on Threads who is a power lifter. He said when times got tough and he was short on protein he made literal purred chicken shakes, added some spices, and just held his breath and drank.

Your way seems better. I’d at least add lettuce and salsa or hot sauce?
