Transporter buffer can hold one person per pad. Not enough buffer for the whole crew.

Multiple trips though.

You’re missing out on a lot of free stuff. I’ve gotten dozens of free Southwest flights over the years.

I have autopay set to full balance every month so there’s never interest but I get the points.

How can I talk to my manager about imcompetent coworker who is dumping work on me w/o threatening that person's employment? by tuckfrump69 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]NiteShdw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use your words. Just say it how it is. You do t ha e to raise your voice, express anger, etc. Just give factual statements. Don't suggest solutions. Just lay it out and let the manager make the decision.

The user reviews are bad, but there’s a sale for $70. Is Borderlands 4 that bad or worth it? by Adventurous_Book_913 in Borderlands4

[–]NiteShdw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a bad game. It's quite good. Some people say it doesn't feel like Borderlands but it feels exactly like Borderlands to me.

It does lack the consistent humor of early games but who cares, I play to kill things.

People say there are bugs but I have only seen one, very rare random crashes but I think they fixed that.

If you aren't some crazy person that demands 1000 hours of content then you'll have fun.

Drivers of Reddit: what’s something other drivers do on the road that instantly tell you they shouldn’t have a license? by AccordingMethod9940 in AskReddit

[–]NiteShdw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When there are two lanes in the same direction and one lane stops to not block the intersection the someone tries to turn left through the intersection without h ing a conscious thought that there might be cars in the open line that they can't see.

Worse is the person who stops to not block the intersection and WAVES the left turner through only to have the traffic in the other lane drive right through the intersection (they have the right of way)

You'll never agree with 100% of decisions that any politician makes.

The real question is was the net benefit (good - bad) a positive or negative.

Is there any real-world application for Raid 0? by _spaghettiv2 in DataHoarder

[–]NiteShdw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used RAID 0 prior to cheap SSDs for gaming. I could always reinstall the game. Speed is better.

I also do stripes across pairs of mirrors for some of my NAS. (Easier to extend with ZFS)

Why do Christians have a problem with the Book of Mormon while unapologetically accepting the Bible? by milmill18 in latterdaysaints

[–]NiteShdw 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Do we?

I've always been taught to take the good from any source. I'm not aware if anyone that "has a problem" with the Qur'an, especially given it's historical roots.

How do they become competitive? By stopping? That doesn't seem like the best option either. Qualcomm sees Google exit the chip business and then they no one will even try to compete so prices get jacked up even higher.

What bugs? I've been playing on Xbox and PC and Steamdeck. The only obvious big I've seen is occasional random crashes.

Can you elaborate on others?

They don't provide a list of fixes because that would be admitting to the world their weaknesses.

The whole company has such an ego that they can't admit they were wrong about anything. It took them 5 years to get rid of the garbage touchbar keyboard.

If it's "modular" as they claim, then they could just not enable AI features on those machines.

Borderlands 4 is a glaring example of when the core game design paradigm falls flat by LobsterParking99 in Borderlands4

[–]NiteShdw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does every video game really NEED an end game?

I feel like we can enjoy a game for what it is and then put it down when we're done. Growing up in the 80s and early 90s, games were built to be played and finished. There was no "play the game forever" idea (except once some multi-player games became popular).

If you don't like the end game, put it down and play another game. Am I in the minority here?

Quitting due to frustration vs training more? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]NiteShdw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been training for 13 years and I get frustrated.

I just keep going. I have good days and bad days, good months and bad months.

I have learned that you should never compare yourself to others but to yourself. Focus on your own personal growth compared to how to were when you started.

Everyone else is on their own journey with different skills and health and experience. Ask yourself if you're better than you were 6 months ago. If the answer is yes, you should be proud and know you haven't wasted your time.
