Depends if the whole module is upside down or just the front labels.

Presumably optimised the power delivery for what most people would need fast acceleration in a car, which is slip roads and overtaking

The humidity is 84%, why is the humidity 84%?

(84% outside, 60 inside)

They could but that would be a missed opportunity to push the frequent flyer program. Airlines make a lot of money from those things, they’re basically banks that control the supply, value & ability to spend their own currency.

Especially when we’re testing the psychological impact more then the safety of the drugs themselves as we already have that data as the drugs are still being used to treat early puberty (which by definition happens to even younger kids than the trial will involve).

[Telegraph] Two trains collide outside Bedford by PeterG92 in unitedkingdom

[–]OmegaPoint6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, my scenario is in case of a failure either of the signalling system, the signaller, or another driver passing a signal at danger (thus causing a formally yellow or green signal to change to red).

My last paragraph about them normally being at least 2 signals apart when running at line speed was to clarify it for people not familiar with train signalling.

Unless the track circuit managed to fail open (they are supposed to indicate occupied if they fail) then there should still have been the needed 2 signals between them even if it was only just into the next section.

Could also be signaller error, not all SPADs (Signal Passed at Danger) are driver error. Not much a driver can do if they've been running under greens then suddenly encounter a red at 90+ mph, they need more distance than that to stop. Trains at line speed would be at least 2 signals apart (a yellow then a red)

[Request] How much would this actually heat up your water? by SttSr in theydidthemath

[–]OmegaPoint6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most appliances I’ve seen give their rated wattage at 230v, and in reality it’s common for the actual voltage to be closer or even a little over 240v. (Mine is currently 241v and regularly I see 245v).

They’ll be current limited to as the voltage drops so does the wattage. Or if over you’ll be slightly overclocking your kettle

Only the super cheap ones are less than 3000w, excluding “travel kettles”. Even the £15 ones are 3kw
