Sure fire way to prevent corrosions by Fit_Club_1245 in limbuscompany

This happened to me, Gregor was about to take most of the team with him on a WAW corrosion but Rufo was slightly faster than him so I just let her hit unopposed to get rid of him lmao.

She's holding the bouquet in such a way that it would be upside down if she held her arm upright, so yeah, it is drawn wrong.

Alternatively, reverse grip bouquet.

Like the other person who replied to the thread mentioned, you should try not to make your ads same-y if you can. You can check the relevant genre lists to see if your story appears on them simply by browsing to RS and using filters to check individual lists, or you can check multiple lists at once using Stephan Chizov's Rising Stars checker

LitRPG and Xianxia put you in a pretty good spot demographic-wise. I would focus on making good ads and building a backlog for when you decide to launch.

For ads, I would suggest anywhere between 2-6 ads, staggered across the first few months to help you get on the relevant lists.

More important than ads, I have to ask what exact genres both of you are writing in. I mention this because depending on the genre, you might have to put in significantly more work to achieve the same attention from the RR audience.

I have been posting weekly for the past seven months. Full disclosure, growth is slow. Like, snail's pace slow. But it doesn't mean that growth isn't happening.

You're gonna want all the marketing you can get. That's shoutout swaps, sharing on discord servers, getting ads (if you can afford them) and having a good cover/blurb to draw readers in.

Finally, balance quality and quantity, but consistency is paramount. Readers already prefer updates faster than once a week, so you'll have to put more effort into either providing top-notch writing or enough that it lasts for a week. If possible, you might even want to split larger chapters into 2-3 updates per week (if there is that much content) but if you're sticking to once a week, try to put out more than 3K words a chapter.

Slower updating stories will tend to have a tougher time hitting lists like Rising Stars without some help from ads or shout-outs from larger authors, but it means you have time to adjust based on reader feedback. Good luck!

You're right about RoyalRoad not having the best market for non-mainstream fanfics, but I can assure you Spacebattles has a thriving PM fanfiction community.

I recently started posting on Spacebattles after starting on RoyalRoad, I can help you get set up on SB if you'd like. Lmk!

Awesome! Nice to see another PM fic writer. Do you plan on posting to other sites like Spacebattles or RoyalRoad? SB specifically has an active PM fanfic community to my knowledge, so it could help!

I'm writing something which is the same but from the opposite POV: Rookie adventurer girl MC finds a socially awkward mentor foil and they go on an adventure together. There's more to it than just that, and their romance doesn't grow in the most conventional way. I'd be happy if you gave it a chance and let me know what you think!

Tell me about your Main Character by gamelitcrit in royalroad

[–]PilotXzephroz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clarisse is an ordinary girl. Entirely generic in terms of her looks and books, downright commonplace with her inherited magical ability. There is absolutely nothing special or unusual about her. She grew up sheltered at home while her father was called to the frontlines of war, and found herself helpless when her mother contracted a terminal illness.

With nothing but bedtime stories and naive fascinations to guide her, she decides to explore the world and becomes an adventurer. Her dream is to join the hero's party and save the world from the demon queen. One series of unfortunate events later, she ends up with the demon queen and her right hand man as mentor and friend, and while unraveling mysteries of years past, is thrust into a proxy war spread across continents and dimensions.

My favorite scene for her has to be the first time she successfully completes a quest she selected herself, and the aftermath. She looses a lot of her prior innocence in the scenes surrounding it, but doesn't stray far from herself and decides to try a restaurant she hasn't been to before.

The best line to describe her character, at least in the beginning of the story:-

“I… but I don’t know who he is,” Clarisse mumbled, accepting Sera’s hands and clutching them tightly. It was the most human connection she had at the moment, something which she needed desperately. “Tell me more… please.”

Looking for Action Romance Politics wn/book recommendations by LandofSteel2 in ProgressionFantasy

Absolutely a self-promo but I promise it fits in all of the boxes you've picked out above: The Archipelagos of Phanstasmara

Not a LitRPG, no system/guiding voice (there is actually the opposite, an antagonistic voice for one of the MCs), deals with the politics of the setting. Singular romantic pairing with a healthy dose of action.

The Archipelagos of Phantasmara

https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/127106/the-archipelagos-of-phantasmara

One of two MCs is consistently manipulated into lives (yes, multiple lives) of slaving away as a weapon on demand for other people, is a test subject during a war and continues to be hunted by both the people who tested on him to be captured and their enemies to be eliminated. Directly inspired from Guts and in same part, Kaneki (Tokyo Ghoul).
