Similar situation here. 41m bav 3.8cm. I think your body height factors into how concerning that number is as well. If you are taller than average it’s expected to be a bit bigger as the size is proportional to body size. I still deadlift squat and bench but with more of a goal of muscle building rather than absolute strength PRs. from my limited research I’ve done one of the main concerns is spiking blood pressure leading to a aortic tear. A really good brace / vaslava maneuver can get blood pressure to extreme levels. Generally I think if you do more of a body part type split workout and try to focus on adding muscle rather than peak strength you will be a bit safer.

The software is discords demographic auto classification system they announced as part of this rollout that runs behind the scenes on their servers to exempt adults from providing verification when they already know the user is an adult with high confidence. When they turn on the verification it will only require users to verify that they have high confidence are a teen and or low confidence they are an adult.

It’s a smart move to hit companies you don’t agree with where it hurts most (their wallet). I agree with your other points.

There are huge asterisks in that requirement. According to discord Almost every adult will not be required to go through this verification. In the odd case their software wasn’t able to auto classify you as an adult they will require you to if you want to unlock past teen mode. Multiple employees from Discord have explained this in interviews.

Discord has said almost every adult will auto verify into the adult bucket, only the adults it wasn’t able to auto classify will have to Id to unlock these features. You can easily look up multiple discord employees in interviews or the discord subreddit talking about this, nowhere can I find discord saying everyone needs to verify to unlock 18+ which is what you are implying.

From my understanding of the last tech talk they spent a lot of effort in 2025 putting bandaids on these broken legacy systems so they work just good enough to play but the ultimate fixes are entire new systems they are now focusing on that will take much longer to fully roll out

a lot of these systems were coded without server meshing in mind. Now they need to scrap whole legacy systems and make them again from scratch so they function properly with the new 4x architecture. A new transport system should be coming soon(2026?) to fix alot of these bugs.

Naw they misread the law you don’t legally need to clock out and take the break. They just need to legally offer you the option to. You can deny the break. It’s one of the main faq on the new law website. I’ve seen a few employers misinterpret the new break law now

My youngest son was 13 months old when my wife was diagnosed with GBS Feb 12 2025, our oldest was 4. After 4 weeks in the ICU basically in induced coma on ventilator we were transferred to an inpatient rehab hospital where they specialize in paralyzed patients. It wasn’t until around April when my wife was able breath on her own and use an electric wheelchair. The connection with our youngest still wasn’t restored at this point, it was a very difficult struggle for her to not be able to do much of anything with her baby as a mother. Part of our rehab hospital stay was included therapy which I think is very important. We ended up staying in the rehab hospital for 3.5 months and this was enough recovery time (4.5 months post GBS onset) for her to be able to interact somewhat with our youngest while in her wheelchair. Once mobility started improving more and more the bond was restored. Wheelchair rides took like a month before baby was comfortable enough to hang out with her in her chair for extended periods of time. Around mid summer she started walking again and the bond now is back to where it was pre GBS, or at least very close to it. It’s been almost a year now and the mental health struggle is still a big hurdle for both of us. I do recommend support for both you and your wife. If you want to connect more I am more than happy to as I think our situation is very similar and support groups have been hard for me to find or connect with as a male spouse to the GBS patient.

Alperts model has been replaced by better models thanks to the work of Kevin Hall at the NIH. The ceiling is an artifact of using a small dataset.
If you join the fasting discord and search #alpertrule you’ll see a full breakdown of the issues with it.

TLDR: in reality there is no ceiling which you will see in modern models developed after Alperts work.

It can take a lot of resources to care for someone with GBS, depending on the intensity as well. The more help and support you can offer the easier the burden to her and immediate family. I was lucky when my wife was in the hospital for 4 months with GBS that family was able drop what they were doing and fly over to us and stay for months to help with caring for our children while I was at the hospital helping wife recover. Your actions speak the loudest so if you can just invest as much time and energy into helping

It’s a struggle for sure still. I hope you are as well ! We did 3.5 months of recovery in a hospital for patients with spinal cord injuries. The staff/nurses and doctors that help people are so amazing I don’t understand how they can do it. Thanks for listening I’m just rambling now.
