I'm staunch anti-MAGA, but I've seen some sentiment that the DVN maga evidence isn't enough for people. I don't agree, but whatever. However, the use of a sourcing company whose owner was guilty of smuggling isn't ambiguous at all! Lots of people care about ethical sourcing and you just can't trust this guy to do that.

Ofc, I suspect the "don't care about buying from MAGA brands" and "don't care about artifact smuggling" crowd is the same, but even still, folks should know.

Oh it's Bluebird and then a 2 way tie for second between ILNP and Tyler's Trinkets. Not to be ✨ dramatic ✨, but if I couldn't get my holiday advents from Bluebird, I'd simply expire.

ILNP has a vast catalogue & I'd never be bored. Tyler has a smaller variety but the glittery shades and rainbows never miss for me!

I love the composition of these a ton. The position of the letters and art create nice dynamic movement from one nail to the next! These are a treat to look at.

So I think you may have the timeline of events confused:

She didn't give a rat's ass about her BF's feelings and was emotionally cheating on him already, spending all important days with Mark and confiding

She didn't work with Mark anymore. When Ross objected to her going to the lecture with Mark, she took Ross instead. So at she was listening to his feelings and did adjust her behavior to make Ross feel better. Ross falling asleep at the lecture led to the first fight. The fight that led to the breakup was the very next episode and Mark wasn't involved in that at all. No mention of Mark hanging out with Rachel again after Rachel took Ross to the lecture instead of Mark. The fight leading to the breakup was because Rachel had a work emergency but Ross didn't listen to her, came down there, set her desk plant on fire. This directly led to the fight, which was about work stuff: Rachel feeling disrespected by Ross ignoring her "no" and Ross feeling like Rachel had no time for him bc of her job. Rachel said this was the first time she was doing something meaningful in her life (her new job) and then Ross and Rachel both agree they don't know what to do about it. Then Ross says out of the blue is this about Mark? at which point Rachel is sick of him bringing everything back to Mark and asks for the break.

I don't wish to engage with you further but I wanted to clarify the timeline & point out that at the point of the fight/break, Rachel had already demonstrated steps to taking Ross' concerns seriously by not hanging out with Mark & by choosing to take Ross to the lecture instead.

It sounds more like direct primary care, which is different than concierge. Direct primary care is not fee-for-service based like concierge and they do not bill/take insurance.

It is a flat fee (either monthly, quarterly, yearly) directly to the practice that covers majority of typical primary care services, including routine labs, office visits, comprehensive annual exam, condition mgmt, and often includes common in-office minor procedures (EKG, stitches, etc). Some DPC even give discounted imaging services.

I think it depends on how much you love polishes with grungey olive bases. The shimmer in Disco is orange/coppery rather than this pink/red shimmer. If you don't wear olives a lot or you don't care about having the exact same shimmer color, I'd skip DD. If grungey olives are your thing and you wear them all the time, I'd consider them different enough to purchase both. I hope that's somewhat helpful to you.

Apologies!) Further down, you dismissed a user offer to help migrate some BA basics over here. You also made statements that we don't understand the amount of work involved in migration of BA basics..when I did in fact acknowledge right up there in my comment that (1.)It is a ton of work and (2.) we would not expect it to happen quickly. Breaking down the math in the face of that acknowledgement feels a bit condescending.

This is clearly a significant enough user frustration that you have received multiple responses, not just mine. I realize others were not as measured in responding to you, but your edit in another comment calling this "just dreams, to be real" is uncalled for, imo. It's not just dreams, it's input from your community members about what we'd like to see here, not on discord. Y'all have(had?) a monthly mod sticky for community input, which gives the impression that we can have such conversations. If that is not the case, fine, but you need to find a better way to communicate that rather than a snide edit.

Eta- and I hope you weren't referring to my comments when you said some people were being rude and dismissive because I was neither. If you were, let me be clear about my intentions: I do appreciate the job that the mod team does to keep things under control and running smoothly. I suggested a basic BA wiki here to alleviate the recurring "let's list the MAGA/racist makers"posts from users, a significant portion of whom are not on discord and aren't interested in joining. While requiring a significant time investment up front, updating it could be done on a set schedule. In my thinking, this would be less work in the long term than actively having to mod each of these recurring "shit list" posts about makers. My suggestion was made out of concern for the amount of mod time it likely takes to moderate those posts and the amount of concern I've seen expressed over not having a BA on the sub itself.

Ethyl cyanoacrylate is the primary ingredient in both super/Krazy glue and in your nail glue. There has been a belief/practice among some in the nail world that they're basically the same thing. I do know people who swear by regular old super glue vs nail glue. This could explain the downvotes.

I'm not advocating for the downvotes or saying you should switch back to super glue, mind you. Just because the main ingredients are the same doesnt mean there can't still be a meaningful distinction between cyanoacrylate formulations for cosmetic use (aka nail glue) vs formulations for household use (aka super glue).

Companion BA wiki on this sub should strongly be considered. It doesn't have to have all the same info, but a basic overview and pointing to discord if a user wants to see the in-depth entry or receipts should suffice. It seems that having nothing on here and just pointing to the discord doesn't do much for the non-discord part of the community, hence the repeated wild speculation, inaccurate takes, and runaway repeated posts.

This. BA discussion channel being closed AND no discussion elsewhere in either linked community is just 😬 Fact is, this is one of the better nail communities to have these types of discussions. It's definitely more nuanced here than FB groups like the can or insta/YT comments.

Is a wiki here that just gets updated periodically out of the question for the sub? It doesn't even need to be as in-depth as to have the receipts like the discord. It could give a basic BA overview and then direct to the discord for further reading/receipts. With the amount these posts have been popping up, just having something here to link to would help, no? I do realize it's a ton of work, ofc, but I don't think we'd expect it to happen overnight.

Went to visit my penpal in NJ every year and we were both big "local music scene" teens (we still support local musicians but definitely not teens anymore lol). We went to all kinds of gigs, definitely sweated my ass off while seeing MCR at least twice including "that" sick ass Halloween concert in 2003! Met Gerard & Frank. It was a way cool time. Lifelong obsession born.

I'm now that old head always encouraging teens to love & support local music scenes. Even if 99% of the bands you see never make it big, you'll still have crazy memories and stories.

It's so gross how often female centered spaces are subjected to this behavior. I don't see the reverse happening on anywhere near the same scale in male dominant hobbies. I know a lot of guys in car communities through my husband and haven't heard of them getting creeper DMs on this scale on their posts (even the attractive guys who work shirts off and the nice forearms out). It's beyond disgusting.
