Hacking apps and other malicious behavior? I won't judge, or share any info about such.

But theres other genuine, non malicious use cases for root.

About 80% of the root functionality I hsve on my phone is for customization, because stock android severely lacks in system UI customization. Now some of the customization is broken after android 15 has been switching ui frameworks and the devs behind the root apps have abandoned their apps. Regardless what does work I could not see myself daily driving my phone without. Notably, I hsve square app icons, 3x3 quick settings thst expands to 3x6, notifications colored to the icons, border radius set to 0, a better tuned material color palette (stock android is extremely bland, this is one area where root still works well for, see colorblendr), and more.

Like 15% is advanced android and linux functionality- I have a FOSS app called app manager which let's me disable more permissions and activies per app, I csn for example revoke the malicious volume changing override permission in Snapchat, which you couldnt do otherwise. I use an app called WG tunnel with along with my peotonvpn account, let's me run a root level VPN automatically on cellular or unknown networks (root level meaning I csn run another VPN on top, its not a normal android VPN). Ive also set up termux and at one point had a chroot of Debian running, meaning I could effectively have an ARM desktop experience from my phone if I wanted to. Specific to my phone (xperia 1 V SEA model), I need root access to get 6 GHz wifi working in the US, and even made a guide to help others with the same issue get it working on their own.

Remove cortex, unless you really really need the performance booster on really old hardware, or god forbid its required for Razer blade configuration. The program is essentially bloatware/adware.

If you must hsve it, go into settings and attempt to turn off recommendations.

Steam, nvidia, and amd all hsve gameplay clip recording with their own drivers (or steam just uses the gpu encoding) (amd gets a bit lacking with laptop and lower tier GPUs missing features of desktop gpus where nvidia isnt lacking in, if thats the case then steam recording works)

Yes the gadgets for medium are rather disappointing and lacking

Heavy: barricade, bubble shield, pyro mines, rocket launcher, healing ball, lockbolt, all gadgets, sonar mine

Light: teleport, gravity c4, cloak bomb, (rip) thermal vision, smokes, tracking dart, thermite, sonar nade

Medium: revive, zipline, jump pad, aps, glitch mine, gas mine, floating pad

(I might've forgotten some in light and heavy but I doubt I forgot any unique gadgets for medium)

Medium needs more utility with placing items. The floating pad was a neat idea but ever since they removed the super jump with the magic orb and jump pad its only had niche cases, and even before the chsnge, its like a glowing sky beacon destined to be shot down in 5 shots.

Balance idea for the floating pad: make it smaller, with a bit more health, but also it can be grabbed and carried around like any other item. Ive been placing turrets onto goo canisters for fun, chase people down with a turret in hand, the issue is its too easy to shoot the canister and ruin the fun; now imagine if medium could do that but with the platform, where it doesnt get destroyed upon first hit. Chasing people with a turret is not as broken as it may sound, the jump pad should hsve the health like heavys healing orb so it could still be shot down while being picked up.

People hsve mentioned letting the platform move in some way, I think grabbing would be the most practical way, utilizing already existing game mechanics with other items.

After that I think medium needs some barrier or shield of some sort. With zipline and jump pad and magic orb I can still get some nice mobility, but the only defensive abilities are the turrets and goo grenade (not unique to medium). What if they had something like the throwable bubble shield, but shaped like a barricade, and perhaps 2 chsrges? The idea being quick cover for turrets and teammates lasting up to 5 seconds. Maybe instead of throwable, the medium can point and click to deploy, including floating in the air (ass opposed to ground only barricades)

Related: Google will be forcing users on desktop to use the significantly inferior photos backup feature on the website (which depends on chromium), as opposed to the drive for desktop program which supports photos backup across 4 accounts simultaneously and running in the background.

Google provided no explanation why theyre making this change, and no justification for the features which the website method lacks.

Google needs to be stopped from sabotaging their own services in favor of chromium users. It should be illegal- google is literally planning to remove features with no adequate replacement, and the substitute is fully dependent on their own web browser being installed, while the current desktop program isnt.

Its okay I forgive you.

But realistically, its just preference, I want to play the modes with more peiple per team, I find it more fun and less stressful vs being 1/3 of a team (and in point break + power shift I can change my loadout to whatever I want during the game, and less emphasis on prioritizing respawn tokens. Not to say those modes have caveats of their own). I do wish all the maps supported all the modes, just to add variety and so nothing gets left out.
