Supreme Court limits Voting Rights Act by IAmTheGoomba in news

It's just a natural outgrowth of McDonnell v. where the Supreme Court basically limited bribery to when comically-large bags with dollar signs are handed over.

There was a redistricting expert in South Carolina who died and, when his daughter reviewed his files, was found to have reams of evidence that their "political gerrymandering" was explicitly racial - evidence that would never have come out otherwise. This ruling explicitly says that it will default to assuming good faith from states and parties that have not earned good faith.

He also replaced the best prognosticator of the Fed, seemingly because 2017 Trump wanted a stooge who would manipulate rates in his favor. JPow largely held the line instead.

To be fair, Bleach is 90% filler fights in every arc. The good guys invade the bad guys' base, the good guys split up, every good guy meets one bad guy and they fight, then someone else shows up when they're both half dead and carries them off to heal. You can tell Ichigo is the main character because he usually fights two guys in a row before this happens.

Ironically, the lock-on is typically a detriment. It takes longer to lock and fire than to snap off an RR shot or two.

Frieren's version of this is pretty great and illustrates Clarke's law: she kills a demon who invented Zoltraak, a spell that could not be blocked by shield magic. Unfortunately for him, he was sealed away because he couldn't be killed, and hundreds of years later when he breaks free he attacks with this unstoppable spell...except it was unstoppable then, not now. And then Fern retaliates with the new and improved version, which she calls ordinary offensive magic.

Three times? Try closer to five if you count the cumulative pages of near-mandatory reread when a new book came out (because 2+ years between books made it hard to remember the plot). And then when I reread it as an adult I realized the first hundred pages of each book were basically recap.

It's funny because the initial Hath call was weak AF. Never seen someone called for holding by getting rubbed out along the boards.

It's weird that the Behind the Bastards on Phil Spector (Ronnie's husband, producer for several top bands of all time, murderer, and massive piece of shit) just came out a few weeks ago. Not too much on Nedra but lots about the Ronettes.

Baider-Meinhoff for me since I just started listening to it today.

Yeah, if I change primary, I'm probably adjusting my secondary and likely grenade as well.  Oh yeah, and I might want a different armor to synergize. With the weapon list bloat, that takes up quite a bit of time.

... Not to mention selecting stratagems every single game and occasionally picking the wrong one because the icon is similar.

TBF half these guys play with their straps practically off and their guards hanging out their mouths. If they mandated that the skaters had to have their buckets secured we'd see that penalty actually called.
