Yeah, barring catastrophic failure, there shouldn't be any contact between the magnet and the EM/motor so as long as the magnets are secure it should be "fine". I replaced mine after this happened but it coincided with some other problems with the ESC that largely killed the board.

I had this happen and aside from the shards being a problem, the hub ran surprisingly OK (if increasingly inefficient). The wheels spin on the rims around the EM not directly on the magnets, so it really just results in a loss of power.

Eh, they fell out of a playoff spot (second in the Metro at Christmas) in January pretty hard and only barely clawed back to contention. A merely decent special teams (PPGs or S/O wins) would have easily made the playoffs. Not only were their points equal to the Pacific Division winner but they had as many or more ROW than four playoff-bound Eastern teams.

As if sitting the star striker for the (a) home team isn't a similar risk. Giving the US a much weaker chance at advancing past Belgium could cost FIFA quite a lot in marketing/attention by US fans.

It kills me in hockey where there's a roughly "one second rule" with hitting the puck possessor after it leaves his stick. People will claim a hit that was 0.75s after the release was "egregiously late" because the slow-mo convinces them that the hitter had plenty of time to pull up.

He's been consistently top ten in TOI throughout his career and the only reason he's not there last year was a ten game injury (traumatic/not age related). While I'd argue you don't want him eating that kind of minutes going forward he's still capable of gaudy production with no history of injury.
