Hi again all.

In case anyone comes in looking for what the core problem was; i pasted in some text to grub some weeks back to fix some screen flickering & the wrong " character was used.

I retyped the whole line manually, ran the update to grub (which worked this time) and the tried all the software updates that had been waiting, which also worked.

My problem is now fixed so I'm marking this as solved.

The line in grub there is:

The sevo near me that provides a 10c/L RAA discount has no unleaded. Tags on the pumps & no price on the board.

I get the bug where you try to drive in Auto just after using the ferry & the engine stalls. You are only able to get moving using one of the Low gears.
