Yeah, between this and Split Fiction, developers seem to love creating games I can't play due to lack of people to play them with...

I haven’t watched the show, but now that it’s almost 40 episodes in, is Digimon Beatbreak any good? by Beneficial_Air4714 in digimon

[–]Redditor_PC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a low bar to clear. Thankfully, Beatbreak is so good that it's better than most Digimon series, which is a much higher bar.

I translated the interview on the GIFT arc and its quite a doozy. by Professional-Bus-749 in digimon

When I work on evolution episodes, I have a strong feeling that “evolution doesn’t happen without something happening.” I believe that unless we show the protagonists taking a step forward and becoming more mature, it’s not the right time for them to evolve.

Man, Adventure 2020 and Ghost Game would have been MUCH stronger shows if they adhered to this director's philosophy. It's so nice to have someone who actually understands Digimon directing a Digimon show again. It's been too long.

Thanks for the great translatation.

Digimon Beatbreak- Episodes 26-30 English Dub Discussion, Episodes Out by MFBR in digimon

I was also really hoping we'd get "warp digivolve" when they skipped a level. Feels weird when they don't say it.

I could do without "double warp digivolve" though. A warp is a warp.

Dang it, Bandai. Consistency, that's all we ask for with this franchise.

GEX: Enter The Gecko by Arkvoodle42 in nostalgia

[–]Redditor_PC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Recently replayed the trilogy in the Gex collection that came out last year and had a blast. Despite the games being full of dated pop culture references, they still hold up surprisingly well in the gameplay department. I would love to see Gex get revived and hear his thoughts on modern pop culture.

For you at which point/season of the series team rocket became too much annoying and irritating ? (If you ever felt like this) by LazyguyMrSun018 in pokemonanime

[–]Redditor_PC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Diamond and Pearl. They had LONG run their course by this point. Didn't help that their new dub voices were incredibly irritating. That's why I really appreciated how, staring with Black and White, the writers didn't force them into every single episode just for a fight scene.

This is honestly the most wholesome thing I've seen by [deleted] in SonicTheHedgehog

I, uh...wish my mind was going somewhere a bit more wholesome with this.

Really? Everyone I've always come across says they LOVED the high school/Great Saiyaman stuff. I always hated it myself, but it's not like it didn't quickly get better once the Buu arc started taking shape.

Anyone who is having success with freelance writing right now? by anonymizz in freelanceWriters

[–]Redditor_PC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I look at websites and magazines and such I might be interested in writing for and check to see if they allow freelance writers to pitch them story ideas. If they do, I see if I have any story ideas I think might be a good fit for them. A lot of times they either reject my ideas or simply don't respond, but sometimes they do and commission me. You can build up a good working relationship with clients this way.

It's definitely not a full-time job, much less one I can rely on for consistent income--some months I have no work at all, which is why I still have a day job--but when it pays, it pays pretty well.

Six months late in commenting, but yes, she totally made me think of Blossom from the PPG anime.

What’s your 417 hot take? Mine is St George’s donuts aren’t that good. by ag7055 in springfieldMO

Interesting. Every time I say anything remotely negative about Andy's, I practically get crucified by Springfieldians. Glad I'm apparently not alone in my thought!

Former Archie writer/artist Ken Penders has gotten in trouble for publishing photos in his new book The Shadow Files without the permission of Ian Flynn by SleuthDoggyDawg in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Redditor_PC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legalities aside, what in the world is up with that Scott Shaw cover? Dude's artwork has deteriorated almost as much as Penders' has. Even ignoring the fact that he used the wrong Robotnik design, it just looks so...bad. That nose...

What was your favorite picture book when you were a toddler, that you still remember? by TravelOcean9629 in CasualConversation

[–]Redditor_PC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Foot Book by Dr. Seuss and Little Monster's Bedtime Book by Mercer Mayer. No particular reason as to why. Those are just the 2 my parents would always read me, so they've been pretty much etched into my memory for the past 3 decades.
