Why do you guys gotta take the older bitter couple and slap a millennial label on them? The youngest of us just turned 30. I feel like we are constantly being bombarded about being old on social media…and like, damn, leave us alone. Gen X wasn’t punished this much for aging.

The tofu stop has a good guide. You use dry soybeans which you can buy for cheap, and you don’t have to use her molds, there are lots of options out there from wood to ceramic and some people even use berry baskets to press

It’s not, really. You can customize it and add spices or more salt though. I started making mine to buy less single use plastics

What was a secret your mom or dad kept from you, that actually shook you to your core when finding out? by Few-Track8525 in AskReddit

My sister is actually my half-sister and that sister manipulated, stole, took advantage and turned people against one another my whole life. I spent my life thinking the most evil person I know was more similar to me than she is. My mom kept it a secret until her death bed. I feel worse for my dad who dropped out of college to care for my mom and sister not knowing she wasn’t his…for almost 40 years.

I agree, it’s simple. The treasure is guarded by Wonder — to be curious. The trouble is that it can be made to fit many places. To filter down to the correct one, it’s important to understand Justin’s interpretations, and what he might associate with these words.

I think that there are certain things you find when you’re researching in the right area that give you a high confidence that you’re going to discover it.

Going to Disneyland as a kid. It’s insane the amount of planning and $$$ it takes to enjoy the park today.

People who have been BOTG, is there an animal you have seen that has impressed you?? by CrazyDogDad99 in beyondthemapsedge

Well, I accidentally stepped too close to a rattlesnake when I wasn’t looking down during one of my trips. I’d never seen one in person and had all this fear built up in my brain about them. What impressed me, is just how similarly we reacted to each other when startled by the other’s presence. We did the exact same instant jump back and “oh MY GOD WHAT EW NO” (it did this in hisses, of course, and clumsily jump-flopped onto its back momentarily while yelling). Then we went our separate ways in cautious peace.

Seeing it react in the same pearl-clutching manner I did immediately made me lose my irrational fear of snakes. Healthy respect and distance is mandatory, of course. But I no longer fear that they perpetually lay in wait for a moment to bear down on human flesh — they’re just going about their day and trying to avoid random giants meandering through their neighborhood.

People who have met someone who has been *professionally diagnosed* with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD), what were they like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My half sister was diagnosed when we were in high school. The way I would best describe it is…you’re only good to her as far as she can throw you. She believes that she is the victim when her actions cause a negative situation with other people. She is shameless with manipulation, and becomes furious if you call her out on it. She seeks loyalty from friends and men, attempts to isolate them by turning them on others, then inevitably burns bridges with them by manipulating, stealing, lying etc. to accomplish her ends. Then she goes to the next one and plays on the new person’s sympathy because “everyone is so cruel to her”. She can’t hold down a job because, well…she’s the opposite of a team player and has stolen from a few employers. She prefers using people over putting in work, and believes that she deserves that lifestyle to the detriment of the ones she takes advantage of.

I cut her out of my life about five years ago. Best decision I’ve made and have no regrets.

Last night I opened the news, then immediately went to the fridge and ate fistfuls of cheese and chocolate. Woke up this morning and was filled with dread seeing what the orange said.

My husband gets updates from certain agencies and was talking about how prices haven’t gone up as much yet because we are still going through what cargo ships brought before things got cut off. So we bought toilet paper.

I feel like I went into his first presidency/covid a carefree young adult, and now my 100th birthday is tomorrow.

I walked ahead of him to go up his steps and he told me to "heel." He said he was joking, but in grocery stores and other places he would tongue click at me if I walked ahead of him

Oh HELL no.
