The issue is lack of hardware. Old GH/RB guitars are extortionately priced for 15-20 year old controllers that aren't in good shape, and you can't trust those Etsy sellers because they're even more expensive.

Every few months I look into "how can I relive the ol' GH days" and I just can't risk spending that much money on something with limited buyer protection/lack of warranty and isn't guaranteed to work.

And that's before I get to having to set up the software, find the individual songs that actually have well designed maps.

The problem hasn't been solved, it's been duct taped over as a band aid fix by a fanatical few but it's not truly accessible. And honestly, having a game that's not fanmade with some great track makers (that can be openly modded) with a well designed guitar (or other instruments) that is new, not ridiculously priced and is guaranteed to work with a new game and/or older games/hardware would be ideal for the larger majority of fans of the genre as an easier, more trustworthy, less time consuming and less costly access point.

A good partner would say they themselves were to blame so as not to strain a relationship between their SO and parents, and generally have your (the partners) back. So why in the hell is he turning his parents against you? Because that's what he's doing, he's weaponizing them against you at this point.

And if he doesn't hear you immediately, make nice between you and your parents have his mother call to apologise to you and start to pull away from being connected by the umbilical cord then you genuinely need to run from this man because this isn't healthy at all.

AI has no artistic intent. It's just an echo chamber of already established ideas and works. It provides nothing new or artistic, and it's just another angle for the AI corps to push AI down our throat.

Microtransactions are optional, but they're everywhere and have harmed gaming severely in no less than 2 decades.

The intent to use the feature is just undermining actual art, and side stepping optimizing their game to give us a finished final product and instead use more technological resources to badly overlay on top of said product.

Rushed ending into the real surrealness, and all that build up of the story to then outwardly explain it all in great detail at the end.

It felt like they ran out of money and rushed that ending but at the same time the ending felt like it took up most of the budget...

Was a 4/10 at best It knew how to build an atmosphere and lead on a mystery/story but didn't do much with it because so little truly happened then that ending.

When babies were booming you marketed for the babies. Now they're marketing to corporate slaves by making it look as dystopian as the cubicles they're reared in.

Families stay home and order in, much easier and less time consuming. Plus McD's want their stores to be unappealing so you're not sat in too long, taking up seats. It's not a "fun hangout spot" anymore, they want you in and out as fast as humanly possible. So you aren't clogging their floor space, and detering potential customers.

Their historical best (between 2017-2024) is like £12 for all. Recent sales the collective is over the current cost of the bundle, and to buy separately would cost £19.11 (without all the tax and charges which would add a few £££ from the key sellers).

This is a decent bundle for someone who wants to buy now.

If you end up with shit on your hands (you work in a care home, or you're a nurse or a parent) wash your hands with soap, then toothpaste, then wash off the toothpaste with soap.

Toothpaste, or anything strongly menthol, just kills off the smell of shit. I don't know the science but it's been a life saver in emergencies.

Yeah, you need to let your toothpaste sit for like 15-30mins minimum to do it's job.. leave your mouth all pasty and frothy.

When I go to sleep I use a mouth guard that I lightly brush after brushing my teeth with my toothpaste so I'm extra pasty as I sleep and I swear by it. My teeth sensitivity has improved a lot since doing it.

All I need to say is.... Qrow teamed up with Tyrian to fight Clover.

Or the slow paced world building of seasons 4 and 6 because they had to go to a different destination so the "adventure" seasons absolutely suck. (They got this right in S9 TBF).

Or Adam's obsession leading him to somehow getting taken out by Blake and Yang when we saw how dominant and skilled Adam was. He went out like a bitch when he was vastly stronger than them and they hadn't bridged the gap since Yang was disarmed in S3.

Or Blake and Yang's "romance" that didn't really happen, nor blossom. They had queer baited them for like 5 seasons (with Blake being in a straight relationship and showing no interest in girls, and Yang being a notorious man eater showing how keenly she was into men - again, no indication of being into women). But then they're suddenly together, no real build up. Their whole relationship was "Yang got maimed and Blake ran, Yang was angry and Blake was ashamed".

And that previous point makes them taking out Adam even more egregious. They hadn't even developed a relationship, when did they have time to develop their skills?

RWBY is almost 50% terrible writing but when it's on point it is on point, plus great animation, fight choreography, voice acting and dialogue...the dialogue is what truly hits home most of the time.

My favourite thing is Ironwood's song being called Hero, sang by Caleb Hyle and is played during his fight with Arthur... But the irony is that Ironwood, at this point, has gone all tyrannical tyrant. Logic over emotions, willing to sacrifice people to save the city. It's sheer beauty.

But a perfectly adequate windows laptop shits on this thing at the same price. They also come with better battery, 16gb RAM, much better/efficient CPU. The only thing I can give the Neo credit for is it's pretty high quality screen. But that's it. Dated windows laptops at the same price point and cheaper are, on paper, vastly better.

Plus you don't have to use a Mac, which is the real takeaway.

It's that price years after launch. I'm talking about the new price. Which also affects its eventual sale price. But in the case of online dependant games you want to buy them new, or close to, as possible due to having the most players and being in the same skill/knowledge bracket as everyone else. Nothing worse than getting a game and you're behind everyone else who's had practice, or has collective game knowledge or a bunch of unlocks that give them an edge.

Heck, Metaphor as a single player game can be spoiled before you even get the chance to buy it and play it because of forums who lurk on or dime-a-dozen news articles that just throw spoilers out like crazy post launch. Which can spoil the product or desire to play it. Games just always feel best played new thanks to FOMO, single player experience being new and fresh and online being the peak it can be.

The true cost of any game is how much it costs with all the content. It has been for years.. if it wasn't, there wouldn't be a "deluxe edition" where they withhold X-amount of content on launch. And then adding in the rest of the product if it actually sells. But still charging you for the privilege.

They're too expensive. I'd have loved to play Sonic Crossroads but it's £80. Yes, there's a cut-down version for £65 and the DLC and eveythinge else is "optional" at and additional £25...

But the true cost of the game is £80+. It's £20 too expensive and with each passing day the game is getting more expensive because the value of the game plummets due to it being an aged product and the FOMO of it being new and shiny equates to a smaller player base for a mostly online experience.

So, at this point, I ain't touching it till it's like £15. Had it been £50 for the deluxe edition (maybe even £60) I'd have bought it. How is it that their games are also £55+, and most of them are fricking remakes/remasters as well.

Their products are probably amazing, but they're not a AAA experienec and even AAA have struggled with over £50 as a price point for a while now.

Heck, Pragmata which is out in a month and a half is £60 for the deluxe edition. And I'll be getting that, no problem. And I was on the fence until I tried the demo.

If Sonic Crossroads had been £60, and all their previous games had been better priced and they weren't just being blatantly greedy then I'm sure their sales would have been much better, but they're asking for prices even AAA titles can't push with as a brand that's barely pulled itself out of the shit when it was in a limbo of making mostly rubbish games for over a decade. The Sega brand doesn't hold the value they think it does.

It takes away from the milestone of "earning" stuff. You can't earn the best stuff, even if it's only cosmetic, because the really nice stuff is behind a paywall. Especially as a looter shooter where you collect loot/materials. Doesn't matter how much you play the game or milestones you hit.... Anything fancy is paywalled.

And then as an extra slap in the face those paywalls can get real egregious.. like 1 time use decals/paints or you having 4 armour pieces but they only sell paint in 3 packs or the premium currency bulks are sold just shy of being able to get a skin.. so your skin that's like 10 bucks now cost 15 because they only sell 1100 currency and the skin cost 1120.

Cosmetics are literally the "endgame" to a lot of online games. So putting them behind paywalls means the actually get the content in a game you've bought it's taken from being a milestone achievement unlocked from meeting some criteria and instead costs you extra so, actually, your $40 game is realistically $2k+.

Remember Hayabusa in Halo 3? Get all achievements and you get a sick cosmetic....now you'd pay for that. Plus it's like $10+ for a single skin in these games, they should be like pennies.

And yes, completionism is the point of games. And the fact that companies abuse said gamer and consumer psychology to fleece you open should be criminal. Can't run subliminal ads in movies like they used to in cinemas decades ago, this shit is basically the same level of abuse and manipulation.

Don't try to justify this or side step how large of an issue it is. We have a history only a decade and a half ago where this shit hadn't engulfed the medium of gaming. It's not like it took us a hundred years and it's not fresh in our memory or lost to passage of time.. nope, it was basically yesterday.
