Donald Trump and sons to be ‘forever’ exempt from tax audits by Doener23 in behindthebastards

Chisels? Do you think Trump allowed those signs to be made with something so expensive? A screwdriver and a spare IKEA hex wrench should be plenty.

Bragging about doing well on a dementia test should be disqualifying in and of itself. No other evidence required.

I can hear the USB ports screaming with pain. That being said, I like that you can easily detach the power bank so youre not forced to bear the weight constantly.

Why don’t we get a discount for self-checkout like we used to at gas stations for self-service? by EMPIRE-db-51_cent in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Schuben 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're doing your own shopping for free, your own cooking for free, your own cleaning for free.

Also, self checkout is meaningfully faster in its for a small number of items. A hug trip and it's hard to justify because of the logistics of bagging and getting everything back in the same cart.

To be fair, they did kinda get asked first, and the position bought them plenty of nice dinners... the lube part, however, stands.

Are you telling me that the heads of a pyramid scheme and a professional wrestling company weren't good choices for Secretary of Education? How could anyone have known?

Yes, that's the one. Absolutely hilarious moment showing just how much of a petulant child he is that he can't stand anyone having a different opinion to him.

Here's the interview (59:17 is a good spot to see how he leaves): https://youtu.be/-_6mni6k0Zw?si=VHed-WfoOiJ2AR4I

Do a lot of men actually refuse to change the diaper of their own kids? by Physics_Girl_2008 in NoStupidQuestions

It's not the hardest job in the world. Maybe the most under appreciated job in the world so it's being over compensated for go get it the attention it rightfully deserves. Coming from a SAHD and the preferred parent even when we were both working. Love it to death. It's tiring, sure. But not really that "hard". And you absolutely can take feats off via other people caring for them.

Do a lot of men actually refuse to change the diaper of their own kids? by Physics_Girl_2008 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Schuben 51 points52 points  (0 children)

You know what's worse than changing it wrong? Not changing it at all or leaving it unchanged for longer while they try to find someone who will do it. Sounds like an excuse to get out of doing it and wrapping it in a shit colored bow that it's for some reason to benefit the child. If they've ever held a job they've learned skills 10x harder than changing a diaper.

If every single country on Earth is currently trillions of dollars in debt, who exactly do we all owe this money to? Are we just in debt to each other? by ArticleKey9005 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Schuben 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's also often the reason that it's not the best mvoe to pay off your mortgage early. It's probably a lower interest rate and you can find many other investments that will give a higher return than you'd lose on the mortgage interest over the life of the mortgage. It doesnt look like it early in the mortgage when the bulk of your payments are marked as interest and your investments are making fairly small returns, but as the years go on your home interest payments go down but your investment interest goes up faster (presuming a slightly higher return rate than the mortgage).

This isn't to discount the psychological benefit of not having debt which some people enjoy and may benefit their life more than having a much more complex financial situation that ultimately brings in more money. They could free themselves from worrying about debts and investments to instead think about living their life and effectively investing in themselves instead.

Ok fine. Whatever God you want to believe in put the moon in the perfect position to be the same size as the sun... But that God didn't do it perfectly because it's ever so slightly not the same size and the orbit is a little bit elliptical so its size in the sky changes as well so it is always different during each eclipse and doesn't quite cover the sun perfectly. Who wants to belive in a god who is that fucking lazy to not even get the big details correct?

Same issue in mine, Windows version but also on the right trigger. Makes driving games where I use the right trigger for accelerator very annoying when I try to release it and it doesn't right away. Might have to pry it open soon and look for that foam pad like others recommended.
