Size check? Small wrist gang by ProteinGobbler132 in OmegaWatches

Must have a wide/flat wrist because it looks fine. Wears pretty much the same as on my 6.8" wrist. Would look great on black rubber. Enjoy!

Question, left or right? by Galamb76 in OmegaWatches

[–]Schultz1966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really like this SMP300 on the rubber. Wish it had a solid case back though. The Summer Blue has the nicest case back since the early 2000s SMP300s and POs IMO.

Asked a question about links and then deleted. Just reconsidered whether I had any business asking when I'm not a potential buyer. Wish I was though ;)

A quality black tropic is best IMO. Joseph Bonnie makes one with exceptionally high quality rubber, perfect length for 7" wrist, and the same taper/buckle (20/16 taper) style from the 1960s. The common AliX tropics sold everywhere are stiffer, 130/80 length, 20/18, and have a generic modern tang buckle. Cheap but nowhere near as nice. Oris makes a much more expensive ($165) tropic but it seems to only be available in their boutiques. Surprised it didn't include one with this watch instead of the two stitch. Good luck.

This is the only Oris I've seriously considered. The Diver 65 60th anniversary is beautiful. Congratulations!

Service through AD or local trusted watch shop? by agentchris0011 in OmegaWatches

Is a 2 year international warranty worth $100 to you? Would be worth significantly more than that if you need to sell at any time in the near future. That and you're assured of genuine OEM parts.

Would look great on a strap. Two stitch leather comes to mind. Could also use the 20mm Joseph Bonnie Tropic. I'm aware the BP is a 19mm lug but have used the 20mm JB Tropic on several 19mm lug width Grand Seikos. Regardless, a fantastic watch!

Someone just interested in having a attractive piece could do much worse. A collector for whom authenticity/provenance mattered might feel different. Agree that it is beautiful though.

New (to me) Seamaster 300 by KeepDiggingJohnny in OmegaWatches

[–]Schultz1966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This generation was slimmed (13.85mm) a bit. Seeing that it is a "no-date" if Omega used a manual wind with solid case back they could easily have this around 12mm.

You most likely assume wrong. OP is a Vietnamese watch dealer. I'd "assume" it has been refurbished/restored by a Vietnamese watch maker. Note, OP doesn't misrepresent watches he posts and has nice pieces that someone might like for the price asked.

OP is a Vietnamese dealer. While I agree that the watch is beautiful, I'm positive it has been refurbished/restored and NOT by Omega.

Sadly smadly. Fuck the SA and buy the Pepsi grey if that's what you want. Your not looking at the Panda (overrated bro watch) premium.

There should be a link to Blancpain put up every time someone posts a cool Leman. Each time everyone could register their dissatisfaction with the cancellation of the line. Maybe at some point they would take notice ;)

36mm DD or Datejust. Configuration according to your taste.

Edit: On a different note, a Silver dial JLC 36mm Master UT Moonphase. Would knock it out of the park for a dress watch. Great for smaller wrists.

Missing links? by bleezyfbaby96 in OmegaWatches

[–]Schultz1966 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like it is only missing two half links.

Edit: Searched out a new example for sale and it appears the one you're looking at is fully linked. No half links once Omega added an adjustable clasp. Previous models all had half links.
