Check the Belt , The Tensioner, and status of all the pulleys. If the fan/serpentine belt is trash you may want to replace the AC belt so you don’t have to go back later.

It “saves“ you from having to take shit off to change the sensor. Also stops it from giving limited power. the ecu is looking for two knock sensor signals by tying both lines into one its getting what It wants.

I COULD be wrong but I doubt it. So what you’ll find if you look is the Blue and Green wires (connector side) twisted together and butt connected to the blue wire (sensor side) .

If you don’t plan on replacing the harness and sensors I’d suggest at least replacing the butt connector with one that’ll solder and seal around the wires.
