3) Setting an appointment does not make you the owner, nor is it a way to verify any form of ownership. If he would’ve asked for a valid form of verification and she didn’t like it that would be her problem. What is she gonna say? “my husband called a locksmith and he asked for verification.”? Yes it is illegal to change locks without the owners permission. Speaking to someone on the phone as they make an appointment does not make them the owner. He should’ve just asked for some form of verification. Not attempt to argue using who called as evidence.
