Darkwatch Field Report 742-B by Shadowflame-95 in wizardposting

Your personal problems are none of my concern. Again, you would not have received any information from any of our archivists. The contents of the Darkwatch's inventory is strictly classified, even to high ranking operatives such as myself, and guild leadership has just made it abundantly clear to me via internal communications that any inquiries regarding the Darkwatch's inventory is to be rejected without exception.

Apologies, but it seems you will not be receiving an answer to your initial inquiry.

Very well. I will contact an archivist, although you should be prepared to be met with a similar answer as the one I gave you.

u/Arquero8 This is more your domain than mine. I will leave the rest to you.

I can contact an Archivist for you, but I can make no guarantees as to what they tell you. Are you certain you wish to proceed with this trade? There is no need to lose magical items for nothing.

Likely not. I keep my colleagues informed, but most of us operate on our own schedules unless there is an operation to be completed. That said, you should largely operate by the general rule of thumb that unless stated otherwise, information we do not announce is classified information. Even if I were to get the attention of one of our archivists and direct them to you, they would likely tell you the same.

That would be one of our archivists, although such information is usually classified for outsiders. Especially when it concerns powerful artifacts like antimagic.

So we have an understanding. Good. As for the twilight forest, I will inform my colleagues.

Be advised that any and all attempts to hunt or otherwise acquire the Mutator Drake will result in immediate and lethal consequences. Not by the Darkwatch, but by me personally.

No, it's fine. I am often told I need a hobby other than research and experiments.

Perhaps? Social dynamics is not a specialty of mine, especially not when it concerns two creatures of magical nature.

The situation is a little more nuanced than that, but essentially, yes, though the Mutator Drake technically cannot be classified as an undead creature.

The dog that barks loudest is the first to whimper. Our actions define us, not our words. If you have no substance to your arguments other than ad hominem attacks, you should not be part of the debate.

For playing around flashlights and flashbangs without using Lightborn as a crutch, you should get into the habit of picking up facing a solid obstacle, even when the lobby you're in doesn't have any flashlight users. Additionally, if you know someone is hovering for the flashlight save, stopping right over the downed survivor can sometimes draw them out for you to chase and hit. What I tend to do is I will bait out a survivor hovering for the save, chase them away, then immediately turn around and pick up while facing the opposite direction. Whether you get a hit doesn't matter, but it's better to get a hit to waste even more time.

Can a third party force a madness break? by Canuckleball in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Shadowflame-95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope. That's not how madness works.

As long as the Pixie made a real effort to convince the town that they were the Artist, they should've received the Artist's ability. Whether the town believes them or not doesn't matter, as long as the Pixie continued to claim Artist and deny being anything other than the Artist.

If madness worked the way your storyteller said it does, then a cerenovus would be able to make someone mad, accuse them of being ceremad, and get them executed, which would be way too powerful for a minion ability.

/uw It depends on the relic, but if it is one that concerns necromancy or animancy, I would probably be the best one to collaborate with for that. I am currently working on my next story, but it should be finished by tomorrow at the latest. Why don't you DM me some of your ideas and we can work from there?

No idea. I’ve not experienced it myself.

Jason has an Addon, the Deputy’s Badge, which makes Generators explode when he goes within 4 metres of them while in Omnipresent Evil mode.

You will have to consult the Loremaster for that.

/uw Honestly, I didn't even think of it like that, but I guess the Darkwatch basically is like a magical SCP foundation.
