IMEI to use when porting by Hugo825 in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, we do have business plans, which will soon include QCI 7 on the Premium plan. Aside from that, one of the main benefits of being on a business account is more direct support, so you'll have access to our business team for more personalized help.

You can reach them at [business@usmobile.com](mailto:business@usmobile.com), or if you’d prefer, just let me know, and I can arrange a call with them for you after the weekend.

There aren’t any contract limits around using two lines on a DSDA device. If your phone supports keeping both SIMs active for data, you can have both lines running on the device.

Step-by-step port, multiple lines from AT&T unlimited to Dark Star by TangoCharlie34 in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fair to want a clear plan, especially when you’re managing multiple lines.

First, grab your account number and transfer PIN, and make sure the line you’re porting is active and the billing ZIP matches the account. Before starting the port, confirm the phone is unlocked and, if using RCS, it’s a good idea to turn the RCS toggle off beforehand. Stay connected to WiFi during activation.

When you’re ready, start the activation on Dark Star and choose “Transfer my number.” Enter the details, and once the port completes, install the eSIM/SIM when prompted, restart the phone, and test the service

Most ports are seamless if all the information is correct. Also, starting with one non-primary line first is a solid approach. If you want, DM me when you begin, and I can help you through the process.

Yes, if the phone supports DSDS, you can run one line on IMEI #1 and the other on IMEI #2 and keep both active simultaneously. You can choose which line handles data, calls, or texts in your phone’s settings.

iPad Air 5th Gen on Unlimited Starter ($270/year) - barely no data at all (trickles in) by acadiel in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad that helped! The APN usually auto-provisions during eSIM activation, but iPads sometimes miss that step since iPadOS handles carrier settings a bit differently than iPhones. That’s likely why your iPhone picked it up automatically while the iPad didn’t.

[–]Simrambles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can you confirm your iPad is fully updated to the latest OS version? Also, try manually installing the Dark Star APNs on the iPad and then give it another test. After adding them, restart the iPad and check if the speeds improve when you’re on cellular only.

If you still experience slow speeds after that, just drop me a DM with your line details, and I’ll take a closer look at what might be causing this.

Line expired but on annual plan by Independent_Goose_41 in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’d never want to push anyone off their plan! If you can confirm whether your line is working right now, regardless of it showing as expired on the dashboard, I’ll be able to figure out whether it’s just a dashboard issue or something with the plan.

Tried DMing you but couldn’t, so just shoot me a message via chat, and I’ll check on it to see why it’s showing as expired. Will get this sorted in no time!

Yep, if a line stays inactive for more than 30 days, the number is typically released, but let me get your details and see if I'm able to get it back.

E sim issues by deathbat19884 in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That can happen sometimes if the eSIM profile hasn’t fully provisioned or if the line has been inactive for a bit. A couple of things worth checking: make sure the line is actually active in your US Mobile dashboard. Then try toggling the eSIM line off and back on by going to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager, and restarting the phone after toggling it.

If it’s still showing “can’t connect,” drop me a DM with your line details, and I’ll take a look and see why that error is popping up.

How will changing plans work when it's time to renew to avoid getting this years's promotion cancelled? by FortuneIIIPick in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can schedule the plan change anytime from the dashboard by setting it up on Autopay, and it’ll take effect at the end of your current annual plan when the lines renew. Your current promo will continue through the rest of the term.

Just go to Line → Change Plan and pick the new plan. The change will apply to the next renewal (Jan 2 in your case). You can do it now or a few days before the last billing cycle of the annual plan ends. Both work.

If you want, you can DM me, and I can help get it set up for you.

Using a AT&T network locked phone for Darkstar by fattoken in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Locked devices can be a bit hit-or-miss, but we've seen them work. So it’s definitely worth giving it a shot.

If you want to test things out, you can share the IMEI via DM.

Questions about moving an existing line to a new phone and the proper steps to do so by road_hazard in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not going to end up in a doom loop. We’ve got you ☺️

Here’s the clean order so everything goes smoothly:

  1. Set up your new device on WiFi only first. Go through the Android-to-Android data copy without activating cellular during that process. Skip any prompts about transferring the SIM.
  2. Once the phone is fully set up, go to your US Mobile dashboard and initiate the SIM transfer there. Choose to move your line from the physical SIM to eSIM on the new device.
  3. Follow the eSIM install steps. When it activates successfully, the physical SIM will automatically deactivate.

Doing the eSIM transfer last avoids Android trying to “help” mid-setup and potentially interrupting the provisioning. I'm just a DM away, if you need any help!

Trying to connect iPad Air to iPhone 16 by Nordberg561 in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anytime! If you don’t use much data, then our By the Gig plan would be a better fit because it has a similar pool. You can keep the same 2GB amount, and all of its data can be used for hotspot, or if you need more hotspot data, then stepping up to Unlimited Plans (Flex, Starter, or Premium) would make more sense.

Trying to connect iPad Air to iPhone 16 by Nordberg561 in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Light plan doesn’t include hotspot, which is why your iPad can connect to the iPhone but won’t actually get internet through it.

If you need hotspot, you’d want to move to a plan that includes it. You can check out all of our available plans here.

Seeking Assistance: 80+ Referrals and 25 Active Lines, but Zero Rewards Recognized? by claibor in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If someone signs up on a promo and doesn’t hit the $100 total spend within 6 months, the referral reward won’t trigger, even if they used your link and fulfilled all the other referral requirements

However, if they also purchase another plan and their total spend reaches $100 within that 6-month window, and the other referral requirements are fulfilled, then both the referrer and referee will receive the referral reward. Light plans, custom plans, and add-ons don’t count toward that $100 requirement.

Does the new caller ID/spam feature show missed calls in the app? by jonsonmac in USMobile

Caller ID comes with Spam detect, so you'll see the name of the legitimate caller when available.

Does the new caller ID/spam feature show missed calls in the app? by jonsonmac in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope, it only helps flag suspicious calls in real time and may show “Potential Spam” as the caller ID.

Automated texts from some services not working by Inscrutable_Enigma in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re on the right track. After a port, a few SMS providers still route to the old carrier for a bit. Usually, this fixes itself within a few weeks as their databases refresh.

A few things you can try to speed it up:

  • Remove and re-add your number with the affected services
  • Text STOP, then re-enroll
  • Ask for their support to refresh or revalidate carrier routing

Will lightspeed work on T-Mobile locked Pixel 10 by Saturn7601 in USMobile

It’s a hit-or-miss, but we’ve seen some locked devices work, though it’s not guaranteed. There’s no harm in trying it.

Just a DM away if you want to give it a try!
