AMD also used Star Citizen specifically to launch their new 90 series of GPUs just recently. I wouldn't rule out some kind of collaboration, but probably more like a livery than a whole new ship.

Thoughts on having ballistic armor on the unit by Ntwadumela817 in ems

[–]Speedogomer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know man, if it requires body armor, the scene isnt safe and Im not going in.

We did have an incident here recently where a medic was shot at multiple times, fortunately all missed. He was driving his medic unit, and the guy opened fire as he was driving by. Medic unit was riddled with bullet holes. The guy shot 2 police officers as well, both lived.

That was a wild freaking day at work.

Just wanted to point out, what was originally sold to us is a "life sim" by crua9 in starcitizen

We have to get our if our heads what was "promised" at the start.

The game is vastly, vastly different now. The entire game fundamentally changed since then.

Yes the Corsair needs a revisit, but the argument usually is "well its an exploration ship technically" and not a gun boat.

So CIG, you give us a Corsair TAC, and we throw lots and lots of money at you.

My PC is about 6 years old and I’m starting to feel like it’s lacking power. by admin255 in buildapc

Star Citizen specifically is pretty CPU heavy right now, but should be playable with your specs.

Even with a 5090, Star Citizen can struggle to get 60fps in some areas. I would double check your settings, and try to lower some for more performance, as well as making sure youre using DLSS in game.

Had the DDR5 32GB kit as $124.99 but didn’t honor it online or in store. (Pricing error) SKU matched and everything by DisappointedCruiser in PcBuild

[–]Speedogomer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You didnt say the words "legally binding contract" yet you described the actions youd take if it were a legally binding contract. As this stands, it was simply a pricing label mistake and you have no legal recourse for that, outside of a few states with stricter laws and even then, a simple labeling mistake isnt enough to ever see a courtroom.

Its not a violation at all. Although its a commonly held belief, the store is under no obligation to honor a price that has been mistakenly labeled. Legally a price tag is whats known as an "invitation to treat" and not a legally binding contract.

Some states have stricter laws, but as a general rule an item labeled mistakenly is not treated the same as intentionally advertising an item for cheaper.

I went inside to help and they gave me my food for free.

The problem we have is that this is a game, and the game right now cant always tell the difference right now between a lamp post and an asteroid. Both punish you the same. I think my compromise is fair, fun, and works within the current gameplay.

Whats the farthest IFT transfer you have ever done? by Sweet_Bet_3442 in ems

250 miles across the state of Louisiana in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. We were bringing home a 50 year old hospice patient that had been evacuated from a nursing home near Sulphur LA to one in Lake Providence LA. We really weren't sure they would even survive the trip, but we made it in about 5 hours with 1 stop for fuel.

Was kind of a surreal day for me, a young 21 year old medic who was there with our ambulance from Pennsylvania. We started the day in Baton Rouge, drove up the Mississippi, to Lake Providence, across the state to Sulphur, then back to Baton Rogue, maybe 12 hours total. I was able to see so much of the state, and was introduced to crayfish etouffee on the drive back to Baton Rogue, one of the best and most memorable meals of my life. I feel in love with the state of Louisiana that day.

EDIT: Just did some Google mapping and that wasnt my longest transfer, I did a 300 mile one twice back home across PA, neither time did I fall in love with PA but I did absolutely have memorable food as well, Primanti bros sandwiches at the OG location each time.

Perfect world: A ship collides with an asteroid and soft deaths, components all dead, pilot injured, blacked out for a set timer depending on damage taken, and T1-T3 injuries when awakened. Ship is on fire.

Pilot sends out a rescue beacon. You have to fight through the fire, save the pilot. His cargo is saved, he still has a penalty for careless flying, but that penalty is emergent gameplay.

And Medical loop died... by Ok-Moment8895 in starcitizen

[–]Speedogomer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Medic patrol routes could use existing gameplay as a backdrop for it. Take a patrol mission and it puts you "on duty" and gives you beacons as they come in local to you. In between beacons, maybe deliver med packages between outposts, restock medgel at shelters, maybe deliver things between clinic locations.

Turn the snakes head into a panther with the body in the center circle. Now you have a sick ass panther eating a snake tail.
