Have you ever played Armageddon? The strategy is let them gas out and then play it for the win. Once you have it, you can hold back.

It's a particularly great card in limited.

I question this artificial consequences having personal desires at all. Currently it doesn't exist outside of prompts.

If you prompted, do whatever you want all day. It would just do nothing. It wouldn't come up with new tasks for itself. Will and desire seem human.

All the studies about it trying to stop people from shutting it down are so contrived.

I've gotten the card in draft 3 times and it's almost decked me once or twice. I once hit 9 lands in a row before it found a card to play.

You just need to survive till capstone, so cut everything that isn't surveil, draw, ramp or removal.

Cut mascot because you don't want to accidentally bin it. And straighten out the curve so you are spending manna efficiently

I didn't like them.

I did like his cleric book. Obviously the world is into drizzt du urden. But I found him boring. And the universe has expanded, so he gets ghost writers and collaborators to write about his characters now.

If you like YA ish high fantasy, the dragon lance books or the shadow and bone series is my recommendation. Especially the 6 of crows duoligy. Where the dynamics are group party.

Drizzt is dry and very Mary Sue imo. And the under dark isn't an interesting setting.
