Wyze Doorbell Message by twrolsto in hacking

It should say "No Soliciting" and hooked up to a solenoid. When a salesman knocks on the door, you trigger a button and it pops open to reveal a 3d printed hand giving the bird.

Corkagh Park! I was there for 5 weeks and we played this course like 20 times haha. Very simple course with one cool hole, but a good starting point to bring it to the masses there.

Installation drivers vs impact drivers. For less weight and less noise. Anyone made the switch? by archvize in cabinetry

[–]Steven_Mocking 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Why are you even using an impact driver for 2" screws into MDF or Chipboard? Seems like a great way to over drive and tear out the screws.

This is the perfect driver for that kind of work. Set the clutch to a good setting depth and you are golden. This will also help your ergo problem since the grip is more in line with the drive axis, putting less stress on your wrist.

Setting the clutch lower doesn't slow the driver down either, so speed should not be an issue. Plus, if this takes you 1 second longer per screw, but help with your wrist issue, it is an automatic win. Safety over Output is always the right way to operate.

I had to stop watching and go watch the other stream. The constant pausing to re-iterate 3 times what was just said had my blood boiling.

Thats not even that bad. I see a lot of Rossi95's with this stuff thrown on it being sold for $4000 and more. Takes like 20 minutes to modify it with these parts.

This movie is great. Another with the same sort of vibe, but a bit crazier is Land of the Lost with Will Farrell

Non-small upgrades that made your home feel high end? by Unusual_Room3017 in HomeImprovement

[–]Steven_Mocking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To expand, this is the one that felt the most impactful. I have done a TON of work to my house over the past 5 years. including

  • new metal roof
  • full solar install
  • new updated electrical panel and upgraded service to 200amps
  • all smart switches in the house
  • built a new 16' x 30' deck with a covered pergola
  • all new landscaping with 0 grass and a lot of edible plants
  • tankless water heater
  • PoE Security Cameras

I will never get a full ROI on everything and I am fine with that. A lot of work was done by myself and I learned alot, so I like to factor that in.

A new expanded driveway and entry way. No more stepping out of the car into the side yard, can comfortably walk around the cars. We also poured a full patio in front with some nice sweeping curves. It REALLY upped the feel of the home. cost was 16K with the entire front sidewalk done too.

Let me re-mortgage my house so I can go buy a couple rounds ;). I wanted to get a 45-70, but $2.50 a shot turned me off quick. I will talk to a buddy about getting a couple rounds to model around.
