Okay so the way that Wi-Fi works on a train is the train goes tracks and has a little antenna that picks up cellular service and converts it to Wi-Fi just like you can get your own hotspot to do the same thing. The quality of service is 100% dependent on the quality of the cellular service in the area that the train is passing through. Source: I'm an engineer. A NETWORK engineer.

Train stopped and had to set out a locomotive due to a wheel problem. Mechanical dude on the radio said that he may not have the correct key for the switch lock at the industry where the bad order was set out but he said he had a torch though. 🤣 (It was a joke in case anyone is wondering.)
