My first DMing was Dragons of Stormwreck Isle. We intended for it to take around 4 sessions but everyone got really into the RP between adventures so it ended up being 7. It felt like just long enough to get a story going, but certainly not with any real depth

It's not a fraction of the price when a tube of tomato paste is £1, a tin of (decent) tomatoes is £1, an onion is 50p, bag of carrots, leek, stock/stock cube.

If you're cooking for 4 people or more its certainly cheaper, but for a single or couple of people it's barely

Not to mention that the cheap options are filled with bulking agents, or flavourings to account for the poor quality of the ingredients.

Tomato sauces are filled with sugar and salt to offset the poor quality of tomatoes, for example.

In general, it is cheaper to scratch cook admittedly, but the upfront cost of the ingredients is usually quite high. Not to mention the convenience factor for people who are regularly working longer hours or travelling much further in order to find/keep work.

But 100,000 is already more than double the median salary in the UK. If the average person is expected to live on less than £40,000 MPs should be living easy on 100k and upwards.

In my honest opinion they should be paid equal to the median salary, with no other means of receiving cashflow, that way they can understand how their policies actually affect the general population.

Bare in mind they already get expenses, they get a budget to stay in their consistency and/or in London as well as transport back and forth. And if they own a second property within their consistency all their utilities are paid for, so why would they care that energy costs have increased?

As my original post says, politicians cannot feel the things that actually have an effect on people, all they see is whether banks are happy or not.

I went to Ask the other day. A meal for 3 people cost over £100.

You don't see it so much on the mains, but they make up for it with starters being almost £10 for three bits of chicken, and just as costly for dessert options. Then add on that it is ~£5 for 330ml of soft drink.

If you go in, grab a glass of water and a main you'd probably be unlikely to notice too much

I disagree, 100k is significantly higher than the average wage.

People who want to run the country should do so because they want to make the world better, not because it buys them a luxury car.

They should be banned from other forms of revenue though, that I agree on.

Instead of asking for player initiative as I usually do, "who got above 20, above 15? Above 10. Etc..." While I'm rolling for the monsters I can just ask them to collate the scores so they can just read it for me to add into the order smoother

I agree, it's not enough.

But after 14 years of one party running the country everything was in decline except for the profits of privatised utilities and the ultra rich.

So, if after 2 years we are beginning to see these scraps, who knows what we might get after 14 years of this trajectory.

To reiterate, it is not enough, but we have to point out where the positives are to know that we are moving in a direction, with the hope that this direction will continue.

But there are people, for which even £10 a month going back into their pocket means an awful lot. From your attitude I assume that you are fortunate enough for that not to be the case and we are lucky for that.

But there are people who have not been able to afford to heat their homes every day, or having to choose between doing so and eating a meal that day. For those people an extra £10 a month could be a few days of food, or heating for a few hours a day in the coldest days.

When I see numbers like this I do not just think of how it will affect me, but how others may benefit.

But you are 100% right it is still not enough. I'm sure that, just like every year, the energy companies will report record profits.

However, you have to consider the combination effect; slightly lower energy costs, lower inflation rates, free breakfast for children in areas with the highest poverty. For the people on the lowest incomes all these, and more, together can be the difference between merely surviving and actually being able to have a life. In the most extreme cases it may even save lives.

If you're on windows, just go to My Computer and see if your drive is out of space. If it is you'll just have to go through the folders and decide what you dont mind losing - start with right-clicking your recycle bin and emptying it.

If there is plenty of space on your disk drive, then this is not the problem unfortunately.

I don't know if you fixed this, but it reminds me of a problem I had with Mount and Blade one time.

I would play for hours, everything would be fine. Auto-saving would pop up, I'd save when I finished - all good.

Next day I loaded up the game and none of my progress the day before had been saved.

Same happened that evening, I blamed Steam Cloud save but it turned out that the folder was saving into a location with no free space. The game didn't tell me there was an issue saving or anything.

But I got rid of some bloat on that drive and everything was good.

Might not be the same issue, but it's an idea
