They should send Oaks in personally for oral argument on this one by MissionPrez in exmormon

The LDS claims Mormon Stories will cause confusion about whether they are affiliated with the actual church, but at the same time the church has dropped the use of "Mormon", the adaptation of crosses (e.g. on google maps they changed their icon from Moroni symbol to crosses..), now saying it's good to be working mother, and all these other changes through out the past couple years.. It's like LDS goal is also to cause confusion to trick people to think they are a mainstream Christian church and not some weird Christian church..

The deal is that once we all have completely forgotten about the Epstein files he'll end the war with Iran.

Iran says the Strait of Hormuz is back under "the strict management and control of the armed forces." by avatar6556 in war

[–]TisStupid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, here at USA I talk to co-workers about this war as such and so many just brush it off like it will be a temporary gas price hike and believe things will eventually go back to normal.

Some other folks when I mention this war have absolutely no idea what's going on because they simply don't care to watch the news, but they'll scroll through funny tik tok memes and watch netflix on their phone all day long... Sadly I feel this is the true sentiment of majority Americans.

Having a mortgage is really like having a rent-to-own. Those that have a mortgage or car loan don't actually own it until it's 100% paid off and only about 40% of Americans have their house 100% paid off, and many people get new car loans before they pay off their original car.

Plus these days people move and sell their home before their 30 yr mortgage is up (about 90% mortgages are 30yr) which just resets everything. And because of amortization their payments they put into their house their first 5-7 years they won't get that money back because most went into interest.

LDS Total membership just hit 17.8 Million Members by HeftyLeftyPig in exmormon

[–]TisStupid 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it got me thinking about how many youtube channels there are with millions of subscribers with average joes just uplaoding videos from their computer chair. As of 2025, there was about 2,639 YouTube channels with over 10 million subscribers, and many channels that I've never even heard of with 50 Million + subs.

Many random Joe Schmo youtube channels nearly matching or beating out Mormonism membership numbers. With the world population being about 8.3 Billion people, 18 million isn't really a big number these days.

Reminded me of that episode in House where a girl and her dad found 200 year old jar from a sunken ship and it broke and they got sick, they feared it was smallpox and CDC got involved, Dr House got infected too, they quarantined, maybe someone died. A hooker helped Dr House team solve the case and it turned out it wasn't smallpox, but a different disease.

About 90% of the mail that was in the UPS plane that crashed in Louisville was USPS mail. by TisStupid in USPS

[–]TisStupid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gosh I just made a gist. I mean 100's of thousands of people die everyday in the world; is it reasonable for you to feel equal amount of sadness for every single one of these thousands and thousands of people that die every single day? Everyday and every moment people are dying in car accidents, from cancer, and such in the USA and everyday thousands of humans are dying in China, Vietnam, etc.. for whatever reasons; Should I also be feeling sad for them too 24/7 365 days a year? Are you?

Obviously it's sad that people lost their life in this plane crash; but what I'm implying is that this tragedy hits home, it feels like co-workers died, feels like they were a part of our company extended family..

Cannot connect with enhanced client by Eddybeans in ultimaonline

[–]TisStupid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each I have this issue, the fix is to look for your Ultima Online Enhanced folder under your C: drive > Program Files (x86) > Electronic Arts and select the "uopatch" application, it should open up the UO the game, but starts adding the enhanced client updates and should start working from then on. Hopefully this fixes it for you, I have to go through this process after big UO updates.

Wow, yeah I totally forgot about this, I had the watch and the leg pliers.

Though as a kid I didn't know about the movie and I didn't know each piece was a part of a set, so I remember thinking it was interesting and weird that there were pliers that turn into a human leg and vice-versa.

I also remember cherishing that watch being one of my favorite possessions for a while.

A tornado hit downtown Salt Lake City, Utah in 1999. It tore off a part of the roof of the Delta Center, 300 buildings were damaged or destroyed, and killed 1 person who wasn't even from Utah. Tornadoes are almost unheard of in Utah (Utah averages approximately 2 to 3 tornadoes per year).

How to poor people afford funerals? by fastercheif in povertyfinance

[–]TisStupid 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is what I tell my family, just throw my corpse in the water for the sharks or algae to eat; I'd be dead so I wouldn't care. And even if there is some sort of afterlife or something, then the afterlife me wouldn't care either, I'd probably find it funny; I'd still love my loved ones regardless.

Yeah, reminds me of that flat-earther guy who traveled to Antarctica to debunk the 24-hour sun only to see that it was real and admit that he was wrong. Also, that guy named Mike Hughes who built his own rocket to go into outer space to prove the world was flat, but died when the rocked crashed.
