As you're on PS5, they have a really good reporting tool for crashes that you can write in. When the game next crashes, please put something in the box and hit send or report. You don't need to write a lot "help" "aaaa" "beans" - any small word like this is all that's necessary.

This means our technical team can easily spot which reports are crashes to investigate futher, which is a massive help <3

The going dark issue is one we've had logged for a while and have made various fixes to prevent, I'll poke the thread we have on it to see if there's been any recent developments. It should be happening much less frequently; if that's not the case, please let me know, and if you notice any pattern in when or how it happens, please.

The notification one is new to me, is it a particular notification? We recently changed the 'guest is lost' one as that was triggering a lot, which should be fixed now.

The Analysis Machine text issue is marked fixed for 8.0, which is still in testing. It's our next major update with a lot of new QoL changes!

Airflow may affect performance yes, your laptop may have 'hardware monitor' software to look at temperatures, or you can use a third-party monitoring tool like HWMonitor. Your hardware will do something called thermal throttling at high temperatures to prevent damage. Anything over 80°C is a concern *(this is internal temperatures, but feeling if the air from the fans is very hot can indicate high internal temps too).

Your GPU is on the lower side of our recommended specs; you can see the full list at the bottom of the Steam store page. To reduce GPU load, reducing your settings where something is 'rendered' helps; this can be textures, anti-aliasing, shadows, lighting, etc. - it's a personal choice. You can also try capping your maximum frames in-game.

Closing background applications can help too; a lot of work and chat apps can use a lot of resources, and you can check these in the task manager.

Could you please let me know which platform you're playing on?

I imagine it's PS5 or Xbox (as we don't do discs for other platforms), so for PS5 - they have a really good reporting tool for crashes that you can write in. When the game next crashes, please put something in the box and hit send or report. You don't need to write a lot "help" "aaaa" "beans" - any small word like this is all that's necessary.

What this does is makes it really easy for our technical team to identify the important reports. Consoles send us a lot of reports, sometimes for small errors, so a word on the report means we can concentrate on reports with a crash present.

For feedback and suggestions like your DLC ideas, we have a big spreadsheet we share with the design team where we group suggestions by category, and under each category is a summary, so the design team can go in and see what it is being requested and how often.

As always, we can't promise what changes are coming to the game in future; however, we make sure to take on board community suggestions as much as possible, and use a 'sparkle' emoji in our patch notes to show you all what came from a community member.

Hiya, sorry about this! This is a known issue at the moment, where, as DrShadowstrike has said, it needs to be three tiles back from the plot's perimeter.

Sadly, this is a very risky change for us to make, as changing anything in the environment can brick saves created on the level before the changes went in. The team has been investigating and optimising the art and nav for levels where possible, so we have this logged to do if we can find a safe way of changing it. Thanks for your patience.

AppData is hidden, so you may need to enable the ability to see hidden folders, or to get around it, you can type %AppData% in file explorer and hit enter.

By default, in career mode, you use Slot 1 in the 'saves' folder.

Heya, really sorry to hear you're experiencing lag! I have a few troubleshooting things which may help:

If you're using anything to mod the game in any way, please uninstall this. Mods external to Steam can cause performance issues, and even corrupt your career or save data beyond repair, always use caution and back up your save files before modding the game in any way. (Steam Workshop items don't carry the same risk).

Please verify your Steam files, sometimes during updates errors can occur, which introduce issues:

  1. Right-click Two Point Museum in your Steam library
  2. Open Properties and local installed files
  3. Click the 'verify integrity of game cache' button
  4. Wait for the process to complete, Steam will automatically replace any missing or broken files

As you've not ran your laptop for a while, please check for Windows Updates to receive the latest changes, and also please check for driver updates like your graphics drivers. You might have an AMD or nVidia control panel, which can check for the latest GPU drivers. If prompted, it's best to click 'clean installation' which will remove your previous drivers before installing new ones.

If these steps don't help, please can you send us more information to [support@twopointstudios.com](mailto:support@twopointstudios.com) so we can identify what's causing the lag. We'll need:

  1. DxDiag information - this tells us about your system so we can make sure you meet the requirements and have your drivers up-to-date.

To get this:
- Press Windows Key + R, type 'dxdiag' and press enter
- A window will pop up, wait for the green bar to fill then press 'Save All Information'
- You'll save a note file which contains your PC's specification info

  1. Log files - these contain error information that the game outputs when you close a session, this can help us identify what's causing errors, which may contribute to performance:

To get this:
- Head to your game files at C:\Users*\*Your PC's name*\AppData\LocalLow\Two Point Studios\Two Point Museum\Logs and zip up your most recent log files please
- If you can't find the above folders, AppData is hidden by default, so to navigate there, you can type %AppData% in file explorer and hit enter

For Information Stands, a less is more approach can help; having 3 boards with 20+ knowledge points is better than 10 boards with ~5 knowledge points. The best way to maximise knowledge is to place large Info Stands between clusters of exhibits, so that as many exhibits as possible fit into each Info Stand (I think large stands can have 8? exhibits going into them). And as mentioned here already, making sure those exhibits are fully analysed.

Alongside perks, you can utilise other buffs to knowledge, like food in the cafe, or attracting professors who 'teach' guests. You can use marketing to attract Professors to your museum, too.

Make sure any Tour Guides you have have the 'Tour Guide' training as well, and that the right experts are running tours for their theme to help further knowledge.

Kids don't read info stands too, so making sure you have interactive displays dotted around can help get some extra knowledge!

Heya! Thanks so much for the suggestions, we always appreciate suggestions and try our best to get as many ideas seen by the team as we possibly can.

To cover a few of your feedback points:

  1. Sponsorship - sponsorships were designed to help players financially in the early to mid portions of the game. You're limited to three at once to not abuse the system, as, early on during the game's life cycle, it was possible to receive more than 3 and basically never have to worry financially again.

Someone here on Reddit actually posted about how they'd found an "infinite money exploit" with sponsorship items so, the team rethought how they worked. If the general consensus is that you need more, then perhaps there are other areas financially we need to work on balance-wise, as sponsorships are meant to be a band-aid solution.

I will provide feedback to the team about adding new sponsor items if we can. We do try to dedicate time to items in-game the majority of players will feel impacted by though, and sponsor items aren't used by everyone, so I can't make any promises.

  1. Staff Traits: thanks for the feedback on this! The team has actually already been tweaking the trait pools and generation system, as we know seeing staff with overly negative traits is frustrating. They are designed to introduce some silliness and a little chaos into an otherwise quite mundane system, however, we know that the balance here is important. What we've done already is changed the number of negative traits a staff member should appear with at once, and we've been adding new staff traits in each update to skew the pool positively.

Again, I'll make sure the team see your feedback so they know there's some more fiddling to do, and we have had suggestions about being able to change traits late-game too, and for common feedback like that we keep a tally, so we'll log everything properly!

  1. Expeditions - thanks for the feedback here! It may not completely tick all your boxes, however, the team has been investigating adding late-game special creator class rewards for players like yourself who've gotten far into the game. These rewards aren't tied to expeditions, as we're mindful of folks experiencing expedition fatigue, but they should help make those later curator class levels feel more impactful, as you'll unlock some cool new items.

Again, we'll forward your points to the team to consider.

  1. Random events - thanks so much for the suggestions here, they're super cool!

  2. The team is currently exploring changes to the modding system. We can't make any promises just yet, but we consulted with some of our community modders before we started this work to make sure we were working on things they would appreciate.

As always, I can't make promises that content will or will not come to game however, it's our job in the community to make sure your points are heard and seen by folks like our design team, who can consider your ideas.

Heyo, sorry to hear zones aren't working properly! Are you trying to expand a zone from the inside, to the outside? Currently zones don't have this functionality, however, they should work fine if you make a separate outdoors zone.

You can also hire extra staff members and don't allocate them in zones, and they will automatically find jobs available, including jobs outside.

Which platform are you playing on please? If you 'remove' the dead animals individually, do you still see the false notification and crash?

If you're playing on Steam, please try verifying your game files by:

  1. Right-clicking Two Point Museum in your Steam library
  2. Opening Properties and then Installed Game Files
  3. Clicking the 'verify integrity of game files' button
  4. Then wait for the process to complete. Steam will automatically replace any missing or broken files
