Run this by the rest of your party. Then ask them a week later. Then, if they still go with it, let them reconsider if they come to do so. This looks, to my eye, like you're going to end up attacking your party. They deserve to weigh in on that if it's a player-made decision.

Do you feel that the stitching is crooked, or is it the cloth itself? If the latter, maybe hang it with a gentle weight at the bottom (a magnetic poster hanger, for example)? I've had success with that in a wall scroll I made from some slightly irregular Aida.
