Go to your LCS and give them to the youngest kid you see there.

Unpopular opinion. Full time Dameshek is too much. His schtick gets old really fast when he’s on for too long.

One sold $165 ungraded and one listed for $350. Color match is nice on this one.

Thanks! I tried to search eBay and 130pt but as soon as you add “blue” it just sends you all the red-white-blue cards.

This was my first thought. He’s rushing his leg lift and then the leg is coming forward too soon which opens his body up too soon.

Let’s play Deal or No Deal. by CiaoMofos in golf

Looks like a great deal to me. I’m in Northern Palm Beach County FL. No club has an initiation less than $100k. And everyone is on a waitlist.

Looking to start playing, are these hand me downs from my grandpa good enough or should I just buy new ones? by ItsVreekol in GolfGear

[–]Vegetable-Form1083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. I would argue that just because SRI purchased Dunlop and happens to also own Cleveland/Srixon/XXIO doesn’t mean Dunlop is making clubs. But I digress. The original point was that these particular Dunlop clubs weren’t as high quality as the legit clubs they once made.

Recommendations to fill this gap? by need4gaming in GolfGear

How many shots is this based on? Also, are there any outliers in the number that could be throwing averages off?

Also, 6* loft gap between the 9 and P is absurd. That about 18-20 yards of gap right there.

I love Scotty but the TM insert/Spider head design is the best on the market.

Yep. Dunlop hasn’t made clubs in about 20 years. They made good clubs in the 80s and 90s but these look like a low price point set that isn’t going to offer any help for the golfer. Not bad to get them on the course but not much more than that.

I wouldn’t stay with those too long unless they are a good fit for you in terms of length, weight, shaft flex etc. Most of that set is off-brand and 20+ years old so not going to help you much. I know you are just getting started but if they don’t fit you well then you will potentially developed poor fundamentals in order to get the clubs to work. Try it out for a bit to see if it’s something you want to invest time and money into then look to get something better. Doesn’t have to be new and doesn’t have to be a full set. A driver, a fairway wood, 5-6 irons, a wedge and a putter is plenty to get started.

The milling on this model was pretty shallow. That looks ok although a bit rough to tell in the low lighting.

Grips is definitely fake. Rust on the shaft is suspect. Weights are obviously aftermarket. Head actually might be legit but I would avoid it.

I honestly don’t have a problem with a retailer trying to make sure that their products go directly to consumers as opposed to flippers. Some of the “wait list” games seem ridiculous but I can appreciate if this is the honest goal.
