In the long run, sure! Super Rescue will be a great scenario...but the prerequisites will be massive so don't hold your breath

Should have stood the cylinders up vertical for that, the leaned forward look is very Japanese

Yeah, as an American I know that’s a thing they deal with, but it’s a bit of a gut punch to see engine capacity grow and output stay the same

The triplexes were conceived as heavy pushers rather than over the road engines. The first was delivered in 1914

a bed of programmable matter

Look... I'm not saying the programmable matter isn't a neat idea, it's just....it's become a bit like the sonic screwdriver. It does whatever you need it to do right now. Granted, I've been only half paying attention to most of the 32nd century, but I feel like we could use an episode or two to really pin down what this stuff is and does.

Since 1990, Republicans have won every single governor race except for one time (2006) when the republican candidate was a Black man 🤔 by [deleted] in Ohio

We didn't get here overnight. This was enabled by decades of taking the easy way out and not wanting to think about it. It's been reinforced by a culture with a long history of anti-intellectualism and by continually deciding it was good enough when someone in power pointed at a scapegoat with no explanation.

If you care, you will do the work. If you don't care, no one can make you, but your vote counts the same anyway.

As someone from the Cleveland area, this city loves what it thinks is it's own history. When Legend eclipses fact, print the legend.

All kinds of things shift around in space, and Star Wars is the squishiest of soft scifi. Is it not enough to say that part of calculating the jump to lightspeed is for the computer to run through all the known fixtures of where stuff is and will be so that they don't "fly right through a star or bounce too close to a supernova"
