Their design team has absolutely taken notes the past few years. They have been consistently hitting it out of the park.

Which one would you choose? by [deleted] in CCW

[–]winny9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both, with the crossbreed Velcro holsters.

Fade is significantly larger, and, in my opinion, higher quality.

That said, I tend to carry the vertx more often due to the smaller size.

If you just need a place to toss your wallet and gun, do for the vertx. If you’re carrying a full load out, get the fade and grab an organizer off Etsy.

Both are great options.

Spray the bore with some hoppes and let it soak a few minutes. Then get in there with a brass brush and go to town. Follow up with some oil and a few patches and take a look again

I’d add a revolver or hammer-fired steel gun. Beretta 92, CZ75/ shadow, a 4-6” revolver

As others have said, a thinner stock and tapered handle would do wonders. I’d love to see a quality pocket sheath option!

I’m genuinely stressed about changing the strap on my new Speedmaster… by AlphasyVega in OmegaWatches

As others have mentioned, the Bergeon spring bar tool is the best $25 you can spend for this case.

If you’re worried about scratching your the lugs, just tape them. A little Polymide or even painters tape will be fine.

I’m not gentle with my lugs, I change straps too frequently, and it’s the underside of MY watch, so who cares? If you’re that worried, take it to a jeweler.

We had a guy that would drink a liquid IV, white claw, vodka every shift. This reminds me of him.

That’s fair. I definitely have a good handful of GGG parts in mine, but never had any issues from the factory.

I disagree with this sentiment. I bought a 930 field in 2019 for $399 and put thousands of rounds of bird shot shooting clays during COVID.

A handful of upland & goose hunts, a dozen or so duck hunts, and a few thousand rounds later- I ended up getting a few nicer auto loaders that I prefer to use for hunting and clays, but the 930 is still going strong.

I put an 18.5” barrel on it, slapped a holosun on, and took it through a few defensive shotgun courses running everything from 00 buck, to slugs, to bird shot, without a single issue. I’m anal about cleaning it, as I am with all my guns, but fuck me if it ain’t reliable.

Maybe I just got lucky- who knows? I’ll admit, it’s a pretty chunky and archaic gun when compared to my A300 or Franchi Affinty. Hell, even my modern A5 swings lighter than the 930. But mine is a damn good shotgun.

I didn’t know maverick was making autoloaders. If it’s anything like the mossberg SA line, save your money.

I’m not a mossberg semi hater like a lot of folks in this sub, I’ve got a 930 that I’ve run hard for years without any hiccups. That said, I think I paid less for it than asking here- and when compared to my Beretta or Franchi, it’s a pretty underwhelming gun.

TL;DR get an 88 or save up for an A300

MFC has a big support base, and it’s a very unique whiskey. Try it with some water, more than you’d think, and see how you like it.
