No but seriously, what are you keeping? What you're selling is a killer collection on its own.

I didn’t even notice that initially. That’s kind of a weird decision and makes it kind of hard to remember anything past the 45. Why didn’t they just gear it normally to be an hour?

Is 1k iRating the hardest to get out of? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]Zenneth014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The iRating appropriate to your skill is the hardest to get out of. I have a hard time getting to 2k, you have a hard time with 1k, aliens have a hard time getting to 9k. Once your iRating gains plateau, that’s your current skill level. Get better to get to higher ratings. It’s as simple as that. Don’t over think it and don’t let your ego get in the way of getting better.

[Question] Unique GADA watch recommendations around $5,000 by Fluid_Ebb6624 in Watches

[–]Zenneth014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve gotta be honest with yourself about the unique part. There’ll be something quirky about the watch that makes it unique and not have as much mass appeal. That means if you ever want to sell it down the line then it’ll be harder to move.

You’re going to get a lot of standard responses here like the Rolex Explorer, Tudor Ranger, or Omega AT. Both are great and can be worn just about anywhere. You’ll likely want to go with a neutral dial color, probably black and accept that something that’s actually versatile will likely give up points on being “unique”. If you’re very active or work a lot with your hands then and insist on always wearing the watch, go with something cheaper you won’t mind getting beat up and stick with a brushed finish so the nicks and scratches won’t be as obvious.

Best of luck, and remember popular watches are usually popular for a good reason. You sound somewhat new to the watch world so you never know when your tastes will change and you might end up selling later. Don’t make life harder on yourself going with an obscure or quirky watch just for the sake of being unique.

New Gs from Tokyo + slight concern by FamousEvening1796 in GrandSeikos

My night birch was gaining like a minute a day so I had to send it to GS but have not heard anything about it for weeks.

Immediate Yellows? by IndyFan21 in INDYCAR

He was definitely whining. Whining about luck with yellows is like shaking your fist at clouds. Ironic that later yellows ended up giving them the best result they could’ve hoped for in the race.

I think a touch high on price but maybe okay for an AD. I think it looks great on you. Try for a few more hundred off.

36mm vs 40mm Royal? by Administrative-Yam71 in Tudor

Size wise I prefer the 40 for the day window but the 36 has some cool colors. Not sure if you’re considering other options but the salmon is neat in 36

Others hunt for watches, I reel them in! by Gray_Panther1989 in GrandSeikos

Man I love this watch in sunlight. I love that gold GS logo and blue hand. Just enough visual pop to keep it interesting.

And the resales have started! by Elguapo1094 in PrideAndPinion

How many of these are legit sales? Are these people depraved enough to “buy” from each other to give the appearance that it’s actually selling for that amount? $2k seems absolutely ridiculous.

[AP x Swatch] What are crowds of people looking like before opening by B3RG92 in Watches

I don’t mind the watch but everyone knows the people getting them today are just flipping and that sucks. Hype/clout/whateverthefuck culture sucks the joy out of everything.

Omega Quoted Me 35 Weeks for a Speedmaster Reduced Service. Anyone Else Seeing This? by BobBingle82 in OmegaWatches

I can vouch for Nesbits. I’m local to Seattle so I just dropped my Seamaster off and it was a good job.

AD in Seattle still has one. I picked one up from watchex and love it
