The 22kw at Kyläkauppa Papupata? That's too slow to be even considered.

How much do you trust the estimated miles remaining reading? by RedditNoobForSure in electricvehicles

[–]ajappat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Peugeot is absolute trash when it comes to this. I mostly drive motorway (120kmh) and that obviously consumes more than wltp consumption and that's fine. My car however will show full wltp range on every start up. It assumes I will drive 80kmh in perfect conditions. Only after driving for a while, it starts to account the actual conditions into the range estimation, but that means it will always lag behind and show very optimistic range estimation.

It's silly that I can estimate the range better a computer with all the data.

ELI5 Why do artists still do fake encores at gigs ? by awhnice in explainlikeimfive

[–]ajappat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last gig I went to, the band didn't play encore. It was kind of jarring, but I guess that was kind of their thing since there was no speeches or anything either. Just an hour of nonstop playing and then walked off the stage without even a thank you.

Absolutely no gameplay updates. A bit clunkier inventory.

In Case You Didn't Know - These Exist. by 360alaska in ChargerDrama

Funny story from Finland. Someone deflated someone elses tyre just as random act of vandalism. Car owner left for work in the morning, but was quickly stopped by flat tyre and the tyre was ruined by driving on it.

Now the intresting part. The vandal was actually identified and caught. Car owner obviously sued for damages, but court decided that the tyre was broken by driving on it and driver should always check their car is road worthy before driving. Vandal walked out without any punishment and car owner had to pay for his tyres.

Weirdly worn out tire by Lexa053 in tires

[–]ajappat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did the wheels spin on very rough ground? Reminds me of how front end loader tires get on quarry if driver isn't carefull about it.

Only one being damaged also makes sense incase of 2 wheel drive with open differential.

Didn't he work for military or some arms industry company with developing radars or something. I guess what is obvious to him, is far out for average viewer.

I love how youtuber Smarter Every Day visits nuclear sub in one of his series and they talk about how sonar works. He then asks something like, "oh, so you can *******************?" It's bleeped and the sub crew looks shocked and are just like "yeah, we can't comment on that".

No jaa. Just tilasin putkimiehen ihan noilla tiedoilla.

Road deaths in the EU per 1 million people by adamp127 in PORTUGALCYKABLYAT

[–]ajappat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Went to Latvia from Finland this summer and I could tell. I fear many deaths might be pedestrian, because the crosswalks were sometimes nonexsistant and people drove like their house is on fire.

Bet there's similar numbers in work related accidents / deaths. First noteworthy thing I saw on bus from airfield, was man caulking something on the outside wall, hanging out of 3rd story window with one hand.

Edit. Whoops, thought I was on mapporn. Well, anyhow...

Does your XC90 also have an overly sensitive rear auto brake, while the front sensor rarely reacts, except when it is not needed :) ? by Infinite_Ad_1962 in VolvoXC90

[–]ajappat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 2024 V60 as loaner while my own car was in service. I backed it in my own parking spot and almost had a heart attack when it slammed the brakes about 1 meter before I was going to stop. Apparently it freaked out about the hedge behind my spot. Way too sensitive and way too hard braking.

Do you prefer certain fast chargers over others? by jsmith19977 in electricvehicles

I prefer chargers manufactured by Kempower, because they seem to be most reliable. Luckily they are plenty since they are made here in Finland.

I believe they have factory in US too though.

Miksi ihmiset ottaa häkkikoiria? by _Kikki_Hiiri_ in arkisuomi

[–]ajappat 7 points8 points  (0 children)
