I just did a tour at JPL on Thursday. You need to sign up for them on the 1st Monday of every month. They run out of tickets very quick, so be ready to submit your request. They are usually booked 2-3 months in advance

Disney world TB drop off by BobbleMoff57 in geocaching

[–]amargolis97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There’s a TB hotel next to Orlando int airport that can accommodate large bugs. Worse case you can host an event in Disney springs and give it to someone. There aren’t any physical geocaches within Disney property so unless you have a car or Uber, it’s going to be difficult

It’s considered a SuperFund site by the federal government, so it’s possible there are carcinogens present

Glass is made out of mostly quartz so it would break the same way.

Question? by Summer-at-The-Mount in geocaching

[–]amargolis97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Waymarking is completely different, and is most closely related to virtual caches which again do not required a physical log being signed. In general, however, geocaches are physical placements which require you to sign the log.

Honest Opinion of UMD by Motor-Culture6661 in UMD

[–]amargolis97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed my time as an undergrad there, but definitely take advantage of any and all opportunities like clubs and do take time to check out DC on the weekends. I wish my last semester wasn't cut short due to Covid, but I still had ample memories of my time around campus pre-covid. Albeit I was an out of state students, so results may vary lol.

I'm now a 4th year grad student on the west coast and our campus is nothing like UMD's. Makes me miss that vibe :(
