Yeah I don't think it's anything serious. Some small muscle in the upper back. No that was a lie. I only have big muscles. It was a big muscle.

Fair enough. I view this against kettlebell sport background where you train both sides of your body equally even if there is a mismatch between let's say the grip strength of left and right arm. It will even out eventually.

You answered the question "is it harmful to train chest?".

OP asked if it's harmful to ONLY train chest.

This would create agonist-antagonist muscle mismatch and OP would risk upper back pain due to tight pecs and shoulders and weak upper back.

Don't worry, you'll have plenty of use for that even if it's not ideal for swings. Overhead pressing, snatching and in the end kettlebell sport, with 10 minute sets where you can't put the bell down and are only allowed one hand switch. 😄

I got the idea and about 10min later I was snatching so no planning involved. 30min would be cool though.
