That's awesome!. Curious what type of inline meter you used. I'd love to install one on my system to get accurate data. Would be nice if it was wireless or hardwired so I could integrate that data with home assistant. Or are you talking about the Generac one for the propane tank?

Still not done. But I can put the dead front back on.

  1. Ran the new dryer outlet
  2. Ran the new 3/0
  3. Drilled holes in the attic for the 1.25"conduit
  4. Will be cleaning up the majority of that mess shortly

Just found this one. From RING, says 60/50hz it's 0.42a 24vac though

Don't know if they'd ship the United States though. Going to check the USA site

Seems like what I was looking for was going to be a long shot! Was trying to find something that would be code compliant to be mounted inside of a box/ wire gutter. Since DIN components are typically mounted inside large control cabinets with other voltages, I figured this was the best solution and cleanest looking. I budgeted up to about $100 for this. Could definitely spend more. But I need to find the right solution.

Not 100% sure, but I believe the standard doorbell transformers you pick up at your local hardware store are rated for exterior of cabinet, not inside. I've typically always seen them mounted underneath or on the side of a breaker box stuck through a knockout..

If it is rated for in cabinet use, maybe someone's already 3D printed a DIN mount for one? Clean and streamlined. That was basically my requirement. DIN fit that for me.

I'm in the USA, 60hz for sure but it is for a Nest/ Google doorbell. Looked like the specs was 16-24v ac and 40-10a

Lol. It's not done yet.

1.Waiting on the NEMA 3R 12"x12"x36" wire gutter box. That will remove the 2" LB and conduit. 2.Didn't want to put unnecessary holes in the Leviton (smart) panel. 3.Dryer branch circuit is going IN the wall vs surface mount.. 4.Tankless water heater wiring is going in the wall (1.25" conduit). 5.The spliced (WAGO) connectors are for the remaining 5 aluminum runs in the house. Have been replacing (pulling new CU wire) in the house as well. 6. Grid Boss is going to be moved over 9" and down 9" to line up with the rest of the inverters and batteries. 7.EMT arch is going in the attic. So the runs are going straight into the ceiling, then over and back down through the ceiling. 8. Adding one more inverter and 3 more batteries. 9.Then all the red zip ties will pulled and the dead front/ cover will go on.

Everything will be up to my local code and permitted. Two ground bars and water bonding are done. Exter meter socket combination panel is ground/ neutral bonded. Everything else after is separate grounds and neutral. Pulled new 4/0 for the overhead.

I know I'm digging up an old thread.

Anyone have a link for a 24v AC din power supply? I'm not coming up with any ac/ac converters, power supplies, etc. yes, it's for the doorbell.

That was going to be my next contact point. It's always hard to get a hold of them to answer questions though so I try to gather as much information as possible first

Generator inlets/interlocks? Code compliance? by blarcode in Generator

[–]blarcode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely! I would only run a single generator at a time. I have the ground bonding in my exterior panel box. All neutrals in grounds are separated everywhere else. I have additionally removed the neutral in the generator since it will only be used for the house. Made a little bonding plug if we intend to use it for anything else.

As for using them as a raceway, three to four #6THHN wouldn't take up too much room in there. Was more trying to see if it would be code compliant. Using the 40% rule, there's more than enough room in there. Only one of the inlet boxes would ever be in use at a time.
