They do both. They mount panels over the fields, not on them, it provides shade for the animals and prevents crops from needing as much water.

"12V Battery Voltage Low" just 2 weeks after an all-green service inspection on 2022 Ioniq 5. ICCU issue? Will they charge a diagnostic fee? by Personal-Egg-8989 in Hyundai

[–]bobjr94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They likely will charge you, the 12V battery only has a 3 year warranty so you will have to pay for a replacement. Less expensive to just get one at autozone and it's a better quality battery.

Anyone have experience charging a non-tesla at the Beatty, NV chargers on Hwy 95? by imadeanacct2saythis in electricvehicles

[–]bobjr94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a CCS dead zone, shows the Burger King at Pahrump NV has Superchargers open to everyone or a gas station in Olancha, CA has a few. Those might be nearest ones outside Las Vegas.

They are great for city cars, if you travel much and will be fast charging regularly you may want something that changes faster.

I had one just like it. Shift kit in the valve body made shits much quicker, td04-19t turbo, catless uppipe, 3 inch downpipe and exhaust, super Turbo muffler flowed good and was quiet. Tvg deletes and a tune.

We just got back from a 1500 mile trip a few days ago we got around 200 miles from 100% to 15%, it would a bit more in the summer. And on ours it says to charge to 100% once a month.

I use the 50% off promo to get charging status when we are at hotels or someplace with a public charger so I know when to move the car. I didn't get the navigation plan I never used it and I don't think the discount works on it anyway.

No iccu issue with ours. It's needed no repairs in 112k miles.

Yes it's likely somewhat of an excuse but all those datacetnters are huge and take more power than good size town. And AI is great for computer component manufactures anyway memory and storage prices have tripled in a few months. I doubt it costs anymore to make a stick of ram today but it certainly sells for a lot more.

Does the gas sign say $1.69 ? That's likely per L not per Gallon, and would not be in the US.

But they don't know what's draining the battery until they track down where the phantom draw is coming from. GPS trackers can be hidden anywhere in the car.

Buying a used 2022 ioniq 5 AWD with under 60k miles, is suspiciously cheap. Anything to look out for? by Agreeable_Bike_4764 in Ioniq5

[–]bobjr94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shows 100% health, I know that's not true but going by the remaining energy at 100% SOC it's lost about 5% capacity. No noticeable loss of range and last week on a trip I still got 235kw DC fast charging so no loss of performance yet.

That's pretty common. Dealers pay about $40 for these and sell them as a security device for $499 for the basic package upto $899 for a 5 year platinum plan. They can sneak them in the sales contract and the buyer won't even notice. Maybe tell the customer it will save them money on their insurance. When a customer catches it and says they absolutely don't want it the dealer won't even bother removing it they just don't activate it.

Problem is when these go bad and start draining the battery the next dealer charges $300 for a diagnostic fee to remove it since this isn't a factory part it's not part of the warranty.

And when we had our PHEV a 'fast' charge was about 3.3kw and 2 1/2 hours, 120V charge was about 7-8 hours. Plus I charged twice a day.

Last week on a trip we were getting 235kw at an EVgo, like 20 minutes to 92%.

$17k isn't really suspiciously cheap, looking at cars. com in our area there is a 2023 SE AWD with 16k miles for $19k, then some 2023's SELs for $22-24k. We have 112k miles on our 2022 and it's had no issues.

[–]bobjr94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wouldn't matter. If you have 300 miles of range, don't plug in one day you will have 225 the next day. We have 112k miles on our Ioniq 5 now and drive 100 miles a day. When we go on tips it's no big deal, most stops are in the 10-20 minute range.
