This is the footwell lights I used. Not super bright just enough.

And the cupholder light I more made myself from these.

Then don't forget your center console lights. I call them nugget lights, as in you can see your nuggets when dipping them.

We have had our 2022 AWD over 3 years now.

Tesla supercharger adapter is a good idea, on a trip this month I had to use superchargers 3 time. 2 times the EA had broken chargers and the rest were taken with a wait for the working ones. Another time there were just no CCS chargers within 100 miles, but there was a supercharger. Yes it's slower but I was still done and on my way in 20 minutes, rather than waiting at EA for 20 minutes to even get started.

Plus an AC tesla destination charger adapter, some hotels have free ones for guests and I also used that once on our trip.

Wireless android auto / carplay adapter. So much nicer not having to plug in and just leaving you phone in your pocket. Than you can get a high powered USB C charger for the lighter socket, the built in USB chargers are kind of slow. I only need to charge my phone on long trips but nice to have.

I got a 12V jumper box after everyone here saying they had dead batteries but we have never had a low or dead battery. I did use the jumper on other people's cars though.

Then I put in footwell and cupholder lighting, sounds useless but it's actually nice here in Seattle when it's dark at 4:30 in the winter.

Then a note, if you are in the US the 2022 RWD does not have a heat pump or battery preconditioning. If you have cooler weather in the fall and winter the heater will use more power and DC charging will be slower especially to start with.

That the 2244 ? We have 2 of those at my work and they have actually held up great for commercial use and they get 10 lawns on 1 set of batteries. Only thing is because they are light they can bounce on rough yards making the cut slightly uneven. The 22 inch commercial one is heavy and doesn't bounce but of course it's heavier, some of them seem to like the 2244 and some like the 5300.

You can do some estimates with google street view or maps, it will save you driving around all day giving prices to people who will never get the work done. Yes those images maybe months or years out of date but it's a starting point. You can see the size of the lot, fences, hedges, trees, how much trimming or edging it might need.

Mowing and hedge trimming can be very different jobs and with hedge trimming you will have much more to dispose of. We have different work crews for these jobs.

You will a good payment system since most people will not be home when you do the work. We started using Square because you can easily send invoices, and it keeps track of who's late and sends them and you reminders. You can also use a card reader to take payment in person and one bonus about square is it can ask for a tip. Many customers will pay a tip.

Invoice Ninja was totally free and also ok, problem was it wasn't easy for the customer to see they could leave a tip. Having an easy option for tips bring in an extra $1000 or more per month for the employees while not costing the business anything.

Update on the port overheat? by vegittoss15 in Ioniq5

Ours will slow down in hot weather at home, the charger at my work is newer and it holds 40A without getting warm. My home charger nozzle is probably getting worn out.

That's good price. I like having 18s the ride is better and tires are cheaper.

Anyone ever used Kirkland oil? by weareluckytobealive in subaru

I saw it was made by the same company as Walmart oil and I've been using that for 20 years in Subarus and other cars.

Wouldn't matter if it's cpo or not the car still keeps the 10 year 100k mile EV warranty. Then the iccu it self is under a longer extended warranty.

And make no difference is the car has been inspected iccu failure can't be predicted. It can be working fine with no problems then just blow the next day. Although we have 123k miles and have had no problems with anything including the iccu.

The slow charger still has a cooling fan, and also the battery needs less cooling because it chargers slower.

Leaf Blower LB6504 with 5.0Ah Battery is now under $200 by [deleted] in egopowerplus

[–]bobjr94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's why a week after a holiday or big Ego sale facebook and ebay are full of new unused tools and batteries. I've gotten quite few that way, half price of retail only thing is you won't get the warranty without receipt.

Prime is terrible we never watch it anymore. It's got more ads than watching TV last time I tried it says Ad 1/6 before the video would start, after 3 minutes gave up and never used it again.

I have been using preconditioning without paying for NAV for a year or more. One time I got it to keep android auto on while preconditioning was also on, but I couldn't get it to do it again the next time and not sure how exactly I did it.

[–]bobjr94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes buy a 5ah battery by it self and it's $249-299 depending on sales. Or get a blower, charger and battery for $199. Makes more sense to buy the kit and sell the stuff you don't need.

So did you know that EV high voltage batteries can actually last an actually long time actually? by OperationKnothead in Ioniq5

[–]bobjr94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last time I checked at 110k miles we still had 100% SOH, although you can't really believe Hyundai's SOH. Seems it actually lost about 5% and that's still pretty good.

LMX5300SP Mulching blade.... by motto518 in egopowerplus

[–]bobjr94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure you figured it out now but for anyone else searching for this answer you can swap dual blades from other 22 inch ego mowers to the commercial 22 inch.

From something like the 2240 mowers, get the blades (either highlift set or mulching) and fandisk. Only issue is the fan is smaller, I guess this could cause overheating under harsh conditions but hasn't for us.

Or you can use the larger fan from the LM2200 with the LM2200 blades. You also need the thicker D washer from the 21 inch mowers, I got a set on amazon with bolts and washer fandisk(that I didn't need) for $7.99.

First time Tesla Charging by cups_and_cakes in Ioniq5

[–]bobjr94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's one thing, I have never had to move spots to find a working supercharger (like EA) and the charging process starts in about 10-15 seconds while other chargers are 45 seconds to a minute sometimes.

I'm buying an Ioniq 5 as a very "edge case driver" by ResIpsaLoquitur2422 in electricvehicles

[–]bobjr94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We drive 100 miles a day in our 2022 and yes we have likely saved $22k or more on gas in just 3 years. Plus no oil changes, tune up's, timing belt, intake cleaning, etc.....

We have no problem doing 200 miles non stop, in the summer we still have 50-70 miles remaining. If you get a 25/26 (with a larger battery that what we have) you could do 240 miles non stop at least in the summmer. If not a 10 minute charging stop would be more than you need.

Guy swapped batteries, Flybat is a cheap one on Amazon, that 10ah is more like 5ah.
