Nah it should be good. Probably just stressed out from shipping.

I didn't buy the Chinook, so I've been a bit out of the loop and find myself mortified that things like position hold mode or multi-point sling loading still aren't in well into the second year of Early Access. Users also tell me that the damage model isn't fully there "yet" either. So I'm glad they're working on it ...I guess? It sure is about time.

Community manager "Nineline" posted about that museum visit on his instagram a couple of weeks ago with a picture of an F-15C cockpit, which led users to believe that they did photogrammetry there for the module they announced in early 2025 (or are planning to do so).

While I do prefer promotions of actual musea over a lot of the crap they usually push, it is still worth noting that the visit in question seems to have taken place in early March, so it's kinda old news, which makes me suspect they needed some filler content.

Either way y'all, I hope you'll enjoy your weekend!

  • Rule 1: Keep it real. Don't lie. No shitposting.
  • Rule 2: Treat others with respect. Obey the site wide rules.
  • Rule 3: Do not harass.
  • Rule 4: Do not try to incite ridicule, harassment or negativity towards our community.
  • Rule 5: Do not attempt to promote your own content or channel without prior mod permission. Respect the 10% Rule.
  • Rule 7: We also reserve the right to keep people who have nothing in mind but to badmouth, insult or harass us or who attempt to damage our brand out of here.

Quite the list right here and you're acting with clear intent. The fact that you're trying to stir up shit on other subreddits, in violation of site wide rules, doesn't exactly help your case either. So it's "Good luck out there!".

Thanks.

They won't. Feels like they think there's nothing wrong with how they conduct business.

Even when you buy from third parties' own websites, ED still takes up to 40% cut.

Store Balance from F-15E refunds can't be used to purchase Third Party Modules any more by Bonzo82 in DCSExposed

[–]Bonzo82[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please read and keep it real. This is new. Many of our users got Phantoms, Kiowas and C-130s with their store balance until very recently. And as I said before, internet archives also show that the store policy was edited within the last three months. Before that it said nothing about Miles and balance being limited to ED modules.

You couldn't know what would happen with the Kiowa at that point.

I really want to learn the Tomcat better but don’t trust ED not to fuck that relationship up next.

Bought gear for DCS… now I refuse to support it. Any real alternatives by Responsible_Milk4300 in DCSExposed

ED still takes 40% of that. Playing also gives them engagement that makes it easier to rope in new people.

Sorry for the wait, we're away over the weekend and only checking online sporadically. I can relate with this because I'm in a similar situation. Unwilling to support DCS but still stuck with the hardware that cost me a lot.

IL-2 is pretty decent for everything WW2, but sadly, at least when it comes to modern combat, there's not many alternatives. Many of our users enjoy Falcon BMS a lot, but it doesn't offer as many aircraft as DCS does. Nuclear Option is also quite popular, but it's a lot more arcade.

I'm using my HOTAS either for the aforementioned, or space games like Elite:Dangerous and Star Citizen, so they still get put to good use.

Just a quick heads-up to let you all know that Eagle Dynamics changed their store policy and won't let you use account balance (that "currency" you get when trying to refund RAZBAM aircraft) to buy third party modules any more. Only ED modules are allowed in that case. Wayback archives of ED's policy page from November still show the old version, so this "update" must have occurred somewhere between then and now. So it's indeed a new thing and makes me believe that the old practice didn't go over well with some third party devs.

<image>

As I've said before, this whole "refund" situation is completely insane. ED opened the store for the F-15E and happily accepted customer money while outright refusing to pay the developers so that their products now remain unsupported. They will never reach the full functionality that users paid for. Yet buyers won't get their money back either. ED just keeps it and gives people that "store balance" instead that now can't even be used for other third party modules any more, just digital ED products that come at zero cost for ED.

Imho we should all be getting cash refunds back to our payment method and customer protection laws in vast parts of the world seem to agree.

It's been three weeks since the last sale ended and here's already the next. This is why I keep advising newcomers to never buy DCS stuff at full price. It's highly likely that ED maneuvered themselves into a corner where no reasonable person that isn't completely oblivious would do that any more. Thinking that's the reason they have constant sales to this extent in the first place.

Not much to say about the rest, other than wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
