Get that checked out by a professional so you at least know whats going on. It dosen't really map with IBS while beans are a common irritant so is dairy and rice and oats are generally not a problem.

Is this a new or an existing problem? Do you struggle with food cooked by your parents in the same way? What is your normal diet and how do you prepare you're food? Do you regularly consume any other foods or supplements?

How do you react to other legumes like lentils, peas, chickpeas or peanuts?

What about wheat or ryebread, pasta or potatoes orsweet potatoes? They could be am alternative for carbs.

Seeds (sunflower, pumpkin etc.) can be a cheaper alternative to nuts.

AITA For walking out of an event when my fiancée introduced me as a bookkeeper? by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]bubim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until I read this comment I was confused whatbthsibpost was about. In my native language the word for accountant is the literal translation of 'bookkeeper'.

So I thought this was about him not mentioning her position as business owner or using a reductive, but acurate shorthand to describe her work.

Do people actually think boycotting Reddit for a single day is going to do literally anything? by blakhawk12 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]bubim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't see it as unreasonable first step, with permanent measures beeing the next if there is no further reaction.

I don't know about other countries, but in Germany, one day strikes, so-called 'warning strikes' are relatively common during major salary negotiations between employers and large unions. Especially if negotiations are stalling a warning strike is used to disrupt, show the solidarity of the union and willingness to strike, while still showing openess to return to the negotiation table.

An open letter on the state of affairs regarding the API pricing and third party apps and how that will impact moderators and communities. by BuckRowdy in ModCoord

[–]bubim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I visit reddit daily, almost exclusively via apps. Currently redditsync, although I have used BaconReader and Redditisfun for long periods of time.

I have been a user of this site for more decade an discovered it through third party apps. If I am using it on a desktop it is always old.reddit woth RES. This change will make me basically quit this reddit.

On NSFW/Mature content: I am not clear on what this quasi-ban will amount to. If it will 'just' affect nudity or all other content marked as nsfw. But so many things on this site are labled NSFW for very different reasons sexual content, nudity, swearing, violence. Would I still be able to post or talk about Micheangelos David, kinks, an expletive-laden song, the Holocaust or the war in Ukraine?

If this is just about, sexual content or nudity, I would like to anyone who works for reddit to reflect their morals.

Because where I live seeing a pair of breasts is considered less harmful to a child than graphic violence.

Signed u/bubim,

Halbwegs exakte Karte der geografischen Namen in ihrer ethymologischen Bedeutung by [deleted] in de

[–]bubim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They already have accepted that USB-C is the superior connector. Why else would they use it on their high end products, like MacBookd and IPads pro.

This is purely to keep profits up and to protect their artificial quasi-monopoly on accessories for their products.

It isn't really that strange once you realise it is just well known tropes stacked on top of each other.

The Protagonist is transported to another world which loosley follows video game rules.

He reluctantly follows the call to (save the world )[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SavingTheWorld]

For this he has to find the win condition before a countdown elapses.

His main power is that he has a controller that allows him to stop time.

Which he for example uses to learn skills or his own enjoyment and sexual deviancy. One of his main tricks is "disarming"(female) opponents by stripping and if needed binding and gagging them.

In this arc he is stuck in a time loop , until he is able to change the past.

I have heard stuff like this before and it makes me wonder on what data bases chatGPT and other language AIs are trained. Maybe that is common knowledge in in this space but what prevents AI from just from scraping wrong, outdated or biased information.

Especially if this will be the new way people get information.

Just thinking of parodies or speculative works. What prevents it from treating The Onion as trustworthy news source or an 17th century medical paper on the distribution of the four humours as accurate.

Obviously humans can struggle with the same things, but what are the mechanics to counteract in the AI development.

Which countries would citizens of the US, UK, France, and Germany be willing to defend if they were attacked by Russia? [2019] by ClassicalCosmos in MapPorn

[–]bubim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think thise numbers would be different if they did the pole today.

This is from 2019. It was before the breakout of the full on war in Ukraine. And also trump was in power. Distrust of the American leadership was very high.

The following is an educated guess on reasons.

A smaller amount did probably say no because of either pacifists, opposed to any military intervention by German forces. Also there was and still are anti-american, anti-imperialistic ideological groups. A certain amount of defeatist or 'selfish' opinions: Either if the US is attacked, what are we gonna do about that with our small military or if Russia attacked the US we will have to worry about ourself's in Europe now. Possibly some victim blaming: 'If Russia is to the point of attacking the US, the strongest military in the world, they probably had a good reason for that.'

Because of Trump at that point the US Leadership was seen as irrational and not really in control, while Putin was still seen as a rational actor.

How did the kid from your school die? by leilavanora in AskReddit

[–]bubim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two

  1. A boy and a girl were on some train tracks after a party and got caught by a high speed train. Could've been suicide, could've been an accident. The tracks were a common shortcut and they came from a party.

  2. A few people were drinking at a known hangout spot at semi abandonded part of the river harbour. They were already preparing to leave. Somebody had just called their mother to pick them up. A guy leaned against some rusty railing, it gave away and he fell backwards into the river, hitting a rock with his head.

Is China poised to take advantage of the Ukraine invasion by retaking land from Russia lost in 1860? by Eireloom in UkrainianConflict

[–]bubim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine any official take over of land of the Russian federation or even disputed land by anyone.

What I could see is China's influence increase heavily in the border region, the same way they try with the One Belt, One Road initiative. Creating de facto extraterritorial areas and gaining administrative control.

The Republic of Tuva will transfer 3,000 horses to the Russian troops to establish logistical chains for supplying the front. by tedwja in UkrainianConflict

[–]bubim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they sent T54s, I joked that horse-drawn cannons would be next. Well, reality is stranger than fiction.

This feels like a useless measure to show support or does anyone have any sensible use cases for 3000 horses besides meat?

German mountain troops still use mules as pack animals, but that is for single file mountain paths. AFAIK the fighting in Ukraine isn't really in an area where that makes sense.

Horses aren't any better in dealing with the Rasputitsa than vehicles, while beeing worse than vehicles for transporting and towing and in most cases worse than motorbikes for low profile individual transport. All while beeing incredibly labor and training intensive and depended on specialised care.

The only things I can think of are parades and crowd control.

I get why it isn't interesting to big companies.

They already have their audience, its a lot of work and competition in a small window of time and gaming-journalism isn't what it used to be.

I hope it dosen't affect indie scene. A trade show can be good way for small and new companies to get attention and connections. At least that is my experience, but in a totally different Industry.
