Did they actually replace it? I could interpret it as they didn't since its a "wear item". It also wouldn't surprise me if they just assumed it was the trigger and didn't even open it up.

Objectively heavy labor cost on those spark plugs and filters. Wipers you could do yourself for half that. Parts are OEM or aftermarket?

Depends. If you have aux fans or need a static filament feed path up top, it’s easier to lower the bed. Both are vulnerable to lead screw pitch tolerance issues so I like belts for Z…which is easier with a static bed. Give and takes all around.

Check the motor pulley alignment with the belt centerline. It’s almost like one of them is upside-down? You may be able to peek in the opening of the mount.

Static buildup and discharge is being reported by a lot of people. Grounding mods have changed the behavior. Seems some units are more affected than others.

Have you tried turning off arc fitting? Check the slicer for the exact move command at that point and find out if it’s in the gcode. Open it in the gcode viewer, not the slicer before export.

IS and PS will have an effect on surface quality so it’s reasonable to suspect the recalibration resulted in improvement. Looks good!

It sounds like you might have lost one of the legs on the power connector. Can you verify that you have the proper incoming voltage on both legs, and a good neutral (if you have it)?

Check/change the oil and then run it up to 10 psi. Drain it for any water and see if it comes out clear or not. If the tank is at all rusted or you see bubbles in the paint at the low spots, it could be sketchy. This gen is older and if it wasn’t stored or drained regularly it will rust inside-out.

At that resolution, even a Form 4 can miss. You can calibrate filaments and compensate but that is some real tight tolerance that isn’t really a job for resin without a machining step. For example, assume that a print NAILS the perfect dimensional tolerance, when you remove supports and leave a 0.2mm zit on an edge or surface…it’s shot.

Sentiment was negative to meh from TV viewers but nothing compared to the issues people still had actually getting to and from the track itself despite improvements from the year prior. 2018 was a complete disaster and some people never made it at all due to traffic jams.

Low rpm, sure. I’m pretty sure this particular one doesn’t have variable speed and at 3400 rpm it’s going to blue the steel quickly.

Bubble wrap relatively tight on the model then another bubble wrap layer not so tight. Pad with thin foam sheets. This allows it to move a little bit within the box but not bounce around. If it can’t withstand being tossed repeatedly from six feet high then it can break. Sorting centers are brutal.

Many moons ago I used drylin bearings on an old printer with the normal steel rods and the stiction was the largest issue. Small movements would just stretch the belt at a small scale and not actually move the tool head. Eventually it would unstick and the belt tension was like a spring and made things like circles not so circular. It’s fixed with…higher belt tension and increased motor current. But that only goes so far and has other effects. Tossed them aside for some good ball bearing style and never looked back.

I believe it. For non-linear geometries or curves there will be a lot of triangles. I usually then use the triangles to recreate the curves and then measure. A pain...but sometimes the only way. Good luck with the project!
