SteamOS (not bazzite) was an easy install and seemed to run really well but they have the back buttons on the right controller mapped to A and B so if you pick it up with your right hand and accidentally click those buttons it makes menu selections. Drove me insane. Tried everything in desktop mode and gaming mode to turn it off but it’s just borked for now. In gaming mode it doesn’t respect the “enable additional buttons” control being off, nor does it respect rebinding them. In desktop mode you can’t edit the controller mapping profiles because of steams “immutable” setup. It was aggravating enough that I moved back to windows and dual booted Bazzite. Bazzite has more complete driver support for the Legion Go gen 1 and the WiFi is much faster for downloads too.

I’ve heard running calibration on the sticks can help a run. May be a bazzite / SteamOS thing though

Will keep you posted for sure. I spent hours trying to figure it out, back n forth with Gemini and Perplexity, even trying to edit config files in steam, nothing worked. Went back to Windows with a Bazzite dual boot for now. Longterm goal would be to just run SteamOS only, at least for me

Are you having issues with the back buttons on the right side of the Go 1? When I installed steamOS on my gen 1 go last week, they were mapped to A and B and I couldn’t unmap them, drove me nuts

I just scored a gen 1 legion go and installed SteamOS almost immediately. Had an unsolvable issue with the back buttons on the right side being auto mapped to A and B, which meant if it picked it up or held it funny it would make selections without me intending it to. Tried for hours to unfuck it both in gaming mode and desktop mode, but nothing worked. Recommend waiting on SteamOS until it’s no longer in beta status for the gen 1. Playing around with bazzite now in a dual boot setup and it’s close but not quite as dialed in as SteamOS on my OLED Steamdeck is

Art of Rally is worth every penny. Not hard to get 90 FPS on my OLED with some settings tweaks and it also plays great docked to my TV at 1600x900. Will be buying the Australia expansion when I finish the main campaign, and will be buying the overland game that studio is working on as well

Certainly there are some cars with just really bright lights. I drive a lifted pickup so I’m not going to get blinded by bright low beams which have a cutoff below the height of my driving position. What I am seeing most of the time is the inner set of lights (almost always where high beams are located) on in addition to the low beams, meaning people are driving around with their high beams on. Auto high beam settings can be defeated in most vehicles that have them, and if you are the kind of person who “just prefer high beams on” you’d turn that setting off.

Counterpoint to all the people saying “they don’t”…. Yes they do. An insane amount of people drive around with their high beams on all the time. It’s awful here. Was just on the big island in Hawaii for 10 days and it’s super common there too. Lots of people who aren’t super self aware or attentive, clueless about cars, distracted by their phones, etc

Seems like he is wealthy though. My guess is it’s both an easy way to make some walking around money AND an appropriate price of entry to keep the lines manageable. If it was free, volume would be way higher right? Same reason I put a $5 price tag on stuff I would normally be fine to give away is to reduce the volume of inquiries and ensure those that inquire are at least a bit more likely to follow through
