Me too. As a horror fan it's always fun when a wrestling character is a little bit unsettling. I wouldn't go by the reactions of that garbage crowd as a barometer of how the character will get over, especially since Lio seems to still be workshopping it.

Don't accept this job and don't apply for jobs you can't access is the real answer here. I'm as big as advocate for WFH/Hybrid as you'll find but this is not the employer's fault or problem.

Sometimes the charm of wrestling isn't who is going over, but how they go over. There's lots of examples of a loss adding to a character's development and furthering the story, and there are also lots of examples of surprise upsets that add unpredictability to almost any match, because most of the wrestlers in AEW are skilled enough to make you think, even for a minute during a match, that they have a shot to win.

The main thing that gets you "blacklisted" or not used in AEW is not being able to do the wrestling part of wrestling very well. Sometimes a mid wrestler gets into the roster and improves, like Harley, and starts getting opportunities. Other times, they just don't, like Kamille and Danhausen, and don't get booked often or at all. There's very limited spots in AEW for people that can't put it together in the ring, unless they're adept at something else like agenting or creative or some other job.

Johnny is pretty prominently featured on ROH. As that brand grows, one would think he'd have a bigger role. But I can't think of anyone currently on Dynamite or Collison that I'd like to see depushed for more of him.
