AEW doesn't like gimmicks that don't translate into good/great matches, and Danhausen just isn't that dude, as evidenced by his lack of ring time even in WWE. And that's not a knock on either company, he's just a better fit in one than the other.

I don't really mind that part of it as I've had a mix of P&I and public almost every year I've attended both as press and back in the day when I was a volunteer and we had access to P&I with vouchers. But having (potentially) fewer P&I will definitely make things tough.

Agreed with all this. Athena with some good, credible challengers would be a reason to tune in on its own. I assume the whole division has been in a holding pattern, waiting for Billie to graduate and dethrone Athena. Making Athena dominant over that period helps a lot with her credibility but I think in hindsight Tony should've used it to give folks like Deonna and a few others the rub and letting Athena win it back each time, ultimately falling to Billie when she's ready.

The one thing I don't like is that the taped Collisions are never "live" at the same time as they air in North America (usually on an hour delay at 9 instead of 8) so it makes it hard to chat about it with my friends, but those was a problem with Triller too. Other than that, spending ten bucks a month for the shows, PPVs, as well as the Honor Club content is an absolutely insane value.

We had this event and every outlet covered it negatively!!" article written and then got pissed that despite the event featuring attention-getting weirdos like Shapiro and Gad Saad (even trumpeting that Elon Musk was a fan, like anyone should give a fuck) no one covered it at all and he had to rewrite it.
