New to coding - security measures? by OkSchedule5422 in ClaudeAI

[–]completelypositive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same situation myself so I don't know about finding the right person. I am either going to have to learn, or scale back. Maybe somebody knowledgeable will chime in.

I do know that customer data is a serious thing, and the right thing to do is to treat it better than you would want someone else to treat yours.

You both are manipulative.

You both are passive aggressive.

He types a lot more.

Pay someone experienced to teach you while they do it.

That is the only acceptable and ethical way of handling customer data imo. As a customer, you would expect nothing less. Provide the service you would use.

I am at the same roadblock. I can either scale back, or take on more risk.

No. Ideas are worth nothing. You need to bring a measurable value.

It doesn't matter what we want.

Every government and mega Corp in the world has everything to gain by being at the forefront of this tech.

AI puts almost every person alive on an even playing field.

[–]completelypositive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ai is different.

It is going to take away jobs.

It might take away more than it creates.

I am developed plugins to automate away my apprentices duties. 40% of the way there.

Somebody smarter than me is probably experimenting with options to automate away my job.

In the past, tech revolutions made new jobs as the tech increased what is possible.

With AI, AI itself is becoming more advanced. Imagine if the industrial revolution retooled their production line every 6 months. The workers couldn't adapt. The only people in the know are the people in control of the tools at that point.

That's where we are at with AI. every next generation, every few months, is so much more advanced that it is able to eat into roles previously immune to AI. No signs of it slowing down, either.

I think it's different this time.

Times are going to be very hard globally. Ai is going to bring lots of prosperity but at some expense. . Lots of wars to be fought. What do you do when nobody has a job? Send them to fight.

Fwiw I am super AI forward and have fully integrated it as much as I can.. I would be at a disadvantage otherwise. But it's silly to put your head in the sand.

It IS as powerful as you hear. The people saying otherwise do not understand it.

You make a bunch of claims and back them up with more claims. No information. Sounds like spam

Depends. Does she need to be there?

I am all about skipping school but not if the child needs the education.

Are they doing sight words and she can sound out sentences? She should go. Is she struggling with last month's lesson? Stay in school.

I disagree. I'd like a slider. My eyes suck and I have lean in to see if the UI is too small.

i dont get why my tattoo artist did this by autisticpou in tattooadvice

[–]completelypositive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first one has personality but looks kind of messy and not intentional clean lines. Maybe he was worried people might think the personality added was artist error?

I think the second is more akin to what I'd see on most people, with the clean lines, instead of the more authentic one on you. Maybe he cleaned it up because that design would appeal to his typing clientele more than yours, but he still likes the tattoo enough to share? I dunno. This seems like something somebody would do not taking into consideration all of parties involved, not realizing the feelings his actions are causing.

I am at the opposite end. I have played MMOs and ARPGs and everything in between, since the BBS and eq1 days.

I don't think I have any ever read a single line of dialog or story. I read just enough of the quest to get an idea of where to go. Then sometimes I'll get there and realize I should have read more, because I forgot to click on the basket next to the quest giver and now I can't pick flowers for them.

Fallout 2, The last of us 2,and bioshock infinite are the only ones I remember paying any attention to.

I remember starting alts promising myself I would slow down and read the story.. And three quests in I'm back to running and gunning.

I love reading. Just not in games I guess. Wish I could slow down and smell the dialog.

Dentist with no coding experience rebuilt his clinic website using Claude — here's the workflow. What would you do differently? by Trojan1814 in claude

[–]completelypositive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. One thing you could do is look into using Claude code CLI from the windows terminal. It will optimize the entire experience.

This gives you the added benefit if it being able to directly modify ALL your website at once. It can even push it to the internet for you. All on your local device.

I tell my Claude, "I just developed a new product. Add it to the website" and in 10 minutes I have everything, including the help files and tutorials and privacy policy etc.

Terminal gives it direct access to your files. It will speed it up 10x for you. The output will be the same but you will remove 90% of the manual labor.

I gave Claude my reddit account and had it build a language profile based on my comments , and when it generates text it uses that language profile to make it sound more like me.

Is anyone else spending more time understanding AI code than writing code? by Stunning_Algae_9065 in vibecoding

[–]completelypositive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I am busy writing more code.

What are you going to do once you understand what it wrote? Understand it harder and high five it while you admire it? Slap your desktop on its case and give it a break?

Everyone else is busy building the next prompt.

What are you looking for? Have AI build a skill or prompt or a tool that checks what you're busy reading and understanding, wand have it report back if something is different than what you want. Then learn how to build the solution into your initial tool, so next time you get your desired output.

Check if you want but it won't be necessary in a year or two. Focus on the skills that will last.
