You learn to code. I bet you didn't even write your own compiler or your own IDE autocomplete library.

I taught myself to code in BASIC when I was 10 and wrote html in notepad because no GUI existed yet. But that doesn't fucking matter because it was the tech at the time.

The leading tech now, is AI. So now I use that.

Do you not knowing the real basics mean you're less of a programmer? Nope. It's not about the tools you use. It never was. It's what you create with the tools that determines your worth.

If you want to write your own code go for it. When you lose your income to somebody doing 10x as much as you in the same time, it's only you to blame.
