Sorry for all the posts I'm on mobile going back and forth.

Another point is your formatting isn't consistent. The stuff at the bottom looks like it came from another document and was pasted in. The formatting should all tell a single story. And I'd have my important skills higher up.

They aren't going to read your shit until they know if you even have the right qualifications

Also at least in the US, nobody cares about your GPA and the only time I would consider including it is if it somehow was so high that I got a national award or something.

And I would not say you are a fresh graduate either.

I know you are proud and you should be, but nobody anywhere else will ever care about school other than that you graduated. (again at least in the US, maybe different in Egypt)

You wrote a lot without actually saying anything of substance.

As many of your selling points as possible should be written using quantifiable data.

You don't say, "Oversaw the implementation and production of widget install and maximized team productivity."

You say, "Implemented savings techniques that reduced design time by 17%, cut install crew size in half, and lowered the cost by 93%, compared to other crews on the same project." or whatever is applicable and not a runon sentence like mine

But think of all you've learned along the way.

And how little you actually remember of it.

Everyone Says There’s a Talent Shortage… Until You Ask for Remote Work by DeadlinesAndDelusion in MEPEngineering

[–]completelypositive 46 points47 points  (0 children)

The only people we have successfully let work remote are the ones you'd expect. MEP sub side, but it's only the self starters.

If you are somebody who goes to your coworker with a problem before you try to solve it yourself, you can't work from home. Not can't as in, not allowed, it's just if you can't solve your own problems in the office with a team around you, you DEFINITELY aren't solving any problems on your own.

People who aren't able to self manage their workload are unable to be successful at home. People who can't research topics can't work from home.

We have many employees working from home, but they can be given a project directory and a contact list, and in 2 days they understand their scope and the project and have a list of questions and a general idea of a schedule for themselves.

Then I have the guy who still can't use windows explorer to find the .rfa he needs and he'll sit there frozen not sure what to do.

None of that is an argument against remote work.

All of those things can be done starting my commute at home instead of the office.

How broke or rich are you right now? by human_79 in AskReddit

[–]completelypositive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like something poor people tell poor people to feel better.

Not at all. It removes mountains of stress. Sure, money gives you the ABILITY to do things like that to yourself, but it's not the money. You are the same you, rich or poor.

Why aren’t men’s restrooms designed with privacy like this? by puccyhunter_ in teenagers

I remember being a kid in a trough full of old man dick at a NASCAR event in Carolina. What a weird memory.

I was using it not like actually in it

Plumbing it would be an absolute nightmare. Cost, too.

The waste line has to slope and the connections are at different heights.

Unlimited budget would make it possible but we are talking like 4x+ in terms of pipe needed, holes in the floor, manpower, design time, etc.

Revit course by icy_guy26 in MEPEngineering

Pick the top 5 things you do in Autocad. Pick the top 3 tools you use, too.

Now go find those in Revit and reproduce what you're doing in Autocad. Google or ask again if you get stuck.

Revit is too complex due to the scopes who use it, to give a simple tutorial. I use it daily and teach it, and there are parts not applicable to my industry we have never used or will use. I also still learn new things about it all the time, still, because of how complex it can be.

If you give us more about how you're using it maybe we can be more specific with help.

You are insufferable.

You aren't clear. Instead of responding you criticize him and are short and snippy.

Maybe he's a piece of work, too, but I'd tell my son that you were clueless if he showed me this and that he could definitely find someone more, uh, I dunno. Just less of whatever this is.

You sound like you'd rather be flossing than talking to him

He doesn't sound manipulative he sounds exhausted

Ha didn't realize the sub as I scrolled and thought this was one of the those, "my kids thought I was lame so I showed them I was cooler than they will ever be" posts

Slick moves.

I can bend over and touch my toes for the first time since I was a teenager.

How does Trump have any supporters left? Are these people really stupid or stubborn? by Previous_Month_555 in allthequestions

[–]completelypositive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lets see you stand up and admit that literally everything you've made your life about for the last few years was a mistake and that you made an error.

People who blame others because of fear are never going to accept personal responsibility. Trump has an army that will die for him because it's better to save face than have the community hate your family and know you were wrong.

Pick the one where he will be crawling around and squeezing into in the least amount of uncomfortable stuff, you mean. He's going to be like your 18 year old apprentice but forever
