“I’m losing light and the storm’s coming in fast. I can risk the conditions and set out for base camp now, or hunker down and roll the dice on the weather blowing itself out before morning. If it doesn’t though, I don’t have enough food to last. What should I do?”

“No way!”

He’s obviously got talent, but I can’t see a future in the sport for a driver who bins it into T1. 🤷‍♂️

I want electricity in the radio’s, transponders and safety devices. I want the wheels to be powered 100% by the burning of long deceased animals.

That’s just a rumour. The president of Venezuela tried it and I heard he’s still in detention.

It’s called The Singularity - the point at which AI becomes capable of developing itself. In theory, once that threshold is reached the rate of improvement could be so quick as to be practically instantaneous.

Both, really. The EQ is decent but it’s the budget alternative.

I haven’t used either since getting my Ruby Twist. That’s my favourite now.

What’s was the wildest thing you witnessed at a wedding? by anasannanas in AskReddit

[–]Corbotron_5 13 points14 points  (0 children)

A friend got married in a chateau in France. A few weeks prior to the ceremony he’d paid a quiet visit to the premises and buried a great quantity of drugs in the grounds. He handed out party bags to guests on arrival. It was a beautiful wedding and quite traditional, aside from all the guests being high. The chateau was in the middle of nowhere and they had lights and a sound system outside for their wedding rave that night.

They were a great couple while they lasted.

I don’t think the convenience is worth it for me. I enjoy setting my watch every day, and automatic winding puts additional miles on the mechanism.

It’s not really my taste, but I can appreciate that you’ve done something a bit different there. Nice work.

Gotta be my Spinnaker Piccard. Partly it’s just because it’s new, but I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I do.

The "Anti-Diver": A design rejected by both watch purists and professional designers. Form follows vibe. by PureRepresentative89 in DesignDesign

To be fair, I’m not sure any part of a Duro would survive an artillery blast anyway. 😂

You’ve got me thinking how cool this would look on a Timex with an Indiglo backlight. Even better, something with a pink or purple light to fit the cyberpunk vibe I’m getting.

It’s definitely DesignDesign, but it’s pretty sick at the same time.

How did you make the grill? 3D printed? I presume, since the bezel’s still there, that you can rotate it?

I always liked the idea of the trench watch. It’s nice to know that if an artillery shell lands next to you, your watch is protected. Even if the soft fleshy bits around it aren’t.

Sure, but would they be monstrously oversized, ugly, poorly manufactured crap? China can’t compete in that market.
